I think you can sort of compare it to strip clubs, I have traveled to many cities, and in cities where they are many clubs the girls are usually easier to deal with don't have as much of an attitude, and and don't get too greedy, but in towns where the number of clubs is limited the girls know guys don't have any other options so they charge more for lap dances pull more scams, act like their shit don't stink etc. Now imagine they made strip clubs illegal everywhere but one city in the US, you know how much the strippers there would be charging? The prices would skyrocket, plus the clubs in that city would be able to take more advantage of the dancers because they have no where else to go. I've seen places where there are lots of clubs and the clubs have to attract the girls and give them incentives to work there or they will just go next door down the block etc and work at another club, and I've seen places where there are very few clubs and it's the girls who have to pay the club to be able to dance, thats pretty much where the prostitution situation in this country is in right now, the girls are paying the "clubs" or brothels for the "privelege" of working there.
