I walk across most times I go down for convenience and find with Global Entry, the walk up is the longest part of the whole process. Once in the building, I think a few minutes is the most I have ever waited.

Wish they would re-open pedwest to normal business hrs. That would really cut the time for me.

I've never tried leaving that late at night. So I'm thinking the plan would be: Swing by HK at 8 pm, enjoy one last hurrah, and then head to la lina. Thanks for the intel!

Global Entry is certainly the best solution. Just waiting for my conditional approval, then the interview. And I'm assuming that won't happen in time for my late April excursion.

It's actually more difficult to get across the border as an American citizen with a USA Passport. If I pretend to be an illegal immigrant, I can just walk through a hole in the wall and they will give me a free cell phone and a bus ride or flight anywhere I'd like to go. Driving across the regular lines can be from 2 hr to 8 hr. My info about a year old or more on that.

I was able to get a medical pass that allowed me to enter a special lane. I got mine at a hotel in rosarito. Need to have the passport card as the express mexican lane puts you into a Ready Lane. First thing in morning on Sunday this is a 15 min wait. Did this many times during the long af wait for my Sentri. Even when things got busy it was under 30 min.

Finally got my sentri pass the last couple visits.

Currently best path is Sentri.

2nd best on foot is crossing late night / morning when things are slow.

If one must cross during day take one of the red bus / van by border. The sentri mongers need to wait about 30 minutes for the others using the red van / bus.

Driving if you have the passport card get a medical pass for the mexican express lane. I would get one at the rosarito inn. They probably sold in Tijuana but I do not know where.

They will ask because some will give it up. This is not new just happening more.

I check my online Global Entry application every day and it always says the same damn thing: "Waiting for conditional approval. ".

They sent me an email when it finally got approved. I scheduled for the interview the same day and got approved right away even though they told me it might take a few days. That comes down to luck as well I suppose.

Will stay in Cascada Tuesday night, in HK for that party Wednesday night, returning about midnight.

A couple wingmen will be partying in HK Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Been going for decades and major changes in the last few years:

-bring your own condoms, they're charging $5 or selling as a drink + condom package.

-book a room for the night instead of per session, girls haven't been watching the clock and negotiate $100 for the 1-shot but if you're getting along can get another off for another $40-50 tip, haven't had any issue w / this.

-BBBJ far and few between. Maybe it's cause I've been aiming for high quality, back in the day BBBJ was tables' stakes, now the youngins have rules.

My guy literally talked football with me the whole time and I had my approval same day. Congrats on joining the club.
