Generally speaking, the providers I see on STG or mega will run off with your money if you give them a deposit. However, I've had positive experiences a few times with more expensive providers like those I've seen on tryst.
You have to do your research. If they have a bunch of reviews on places like TER, you can find a history of their ads being posted going back a few years, they have websites where they sell and produce media, etcetera then you're probably alright. I would never pay a deposit on an incall appointment.

Similar to my last post, I only prepay to those I've known a while who have treated me well. Even then, I typically only give them 20 ahead of time just so they can "get right" with some dope.
