No, you are not an idiot. Maybe to trusting, in too much of a hurry to get what you came for, and possibly overzealous. We have all found ourselves in your position at one time or another. We don't view ourselves as idiots if we learned from the experience.
There's a lot going on with this meeting that maybe could have given you clues to the end result. She asked for a photo. That has blackmail written all over it. In as much as there are things she will not do there are also things you won't do. You could have just said your modeling days are long behind you. You are interested in a business deal only. If she wants to share photos she can go on Facebook. You have boundaries. If she remains within those boundaries then maybe you can do business. For my local area, for std testing you either have quest or a free clinic that is worse than a Walmart at 3 am and the best of days. Quest requires an I'd, even with the anonymous prepaid std screening services that specifically say on the lab request not to collect I'd. Had that argument twice and had to walk out. Quest also told me they would notify my PCP and insurance if I tested positive for anything. Mentioned it violated HIPAA and they told me it was the local law, but regardless it was an argument I didn't win. So, free clinic it is but I don't get tested as often as I like because of the difficulties there. There are a few places that would do the screening but they need something from my PCP and won't take a referral from the online places. Might just be an artifact of my local area, but I can't talk to my PCP about anything std related since she is also PCP for the wife.
I am not super active anymore anyway and I always cover for the main event even if bare is offered unless it's someone I know is clean from a recent std test result and I know them well. I do partake in bbbj but consider that lower risk

If they said its the law twice to you then it is what it is for that option. I was actually going to suggest an online referral while reading too, dang. If junior is always got his hat on for the main event and not super active you should be fine as long as it's not the 3 w2 it's Hep B Herpes and HIV you got to worry about and the girls on the ave will never tell you the truth. Yes, it IS the law in many states and jurisdictions that the lab that runs STD tests is REQUIRED to file a report with the local HD. While it MAY violate HIPPA rules, if one reads the fine print of any intake document you signed to get tested, you specifically wave your HIPPA rights "when required by law" (or some such language).
So even IF you go the route of buying a home test kit online, once you test positive, a report is going to get sent to you local Health Department. It's the law.
The only work around is to get tested at a health department, where if you test positive, they are going to provide treatment. That should keep things out of your PCP's file and away from insurance, but most HD's require Identification Cards for testing. Use to be one could get tested anonymously.
But IF one is willing to pay out of pocket for the services, then why would a screening place require insurance info? Also, why can't one go to any Doc, not your PCP, on a self-pay basis (negotiate cost upfront!) to talk about anything STD related?
