Let's see, 750-1000 for an attorney. Plead down to obstructing traffic for 500. That's 1250-1500 to dodge a loitering charge (provided you've got a good attorney and draw the right prosecutor). How many BBBJs is that? Not to mention that Camden is notorious for rescheduling cases so you have to keep scheduling time off for cases that never happen. Hope you can hide that kind of "expense" from your spouse.

That will effect any job you apply for, and anyone can see it by doing a quick check on you. I hope you can hide THAT from a spouse. The police in this circumstance had no physical or other evidence to make a solicitation of prostitution charge, and a good lawyer would get it dismissed. I would gladly spend the money to keep my record clean. I don't see SW's because I can't afford to spend more. It's just my hobby. If I wanted to spend $$, or even $$$$$ on an escort, I'd just do that. Would it be worth it to me to spend even $5k on keeping a "solicitation of prostitution" charge off of my record? Yes.

I hit Broadway last night around 9pm and saw many SW's from Morgan Blvd to the bus station. I saw one of my all time favorites Ty near Atlantic . Your best bet is to find a attorney who specializes in handling sex related crimes. He will have a good idea how hard the DA is willing to push the case. If the DA wants to play hardball you might want to consider requesting a jury trial. My guess is that the DA will drop the case, especially if it's a bogus charge. After all he did not hear you soliciting the SW. You might be able to beat the loiter charge as well.


PS: Are the cops routinely giving out solicitation citations for merely stopping for a SW.

Only happens to me once in last 15 years..so i guess I was lucky?!

I just saw Olivia for the first time tonight. I'd been cruising a good bit the past week or so and checking for the new crop. After the recent sting, I wasn't in a hurry to make a mistake.
