Rand like that only since SG
Totally agree with you, when ever I visit any Asian establishment I carry in only what I want to spend for the service I am looking for. I have actually walked away when they get too greedy. Last time I walked away from the place on Rand in Wauconda and the coworker ran out to my car begging to come back in. Haven't been back to the place and don't plan to in the near future.
For years I got good service at a reasonable price at this place. Last time, just over a month ago I go the good service and left what I though was a good tip, above standard. She looks at it and asks for 20 more? Since she was an old (or at least middle aged) pro, I pointed out that for what she was asking I should have gotten L2. She got these apologetic and begging look on her face. "No business lately?" Well, it didn't take a genius to figure out the reason they were getting no business was about 15 minutes further up the road in SG. And while I can sympathize, I can't be supplementing their income. So I haven't been back. I go to the places in BG instead.
The thing about SG is, I don't always feel like L2 or L3, especially where the money is concerned. Wauconda is convenient to me for a good massage and L1. No point in losing my business on the hopes I'm a soft touch.
Ace definitely not the place
Stopped at Ace last night, ended horribly. Massage started too rough (didn't even as hard, medium or soft). After the flip settled for standard and as I let things loose she slammed her hand into the boys. Never again. That place needs a few weeks of starvation.
