About fall 1984 I met a girl in a club's parking lot who was a couple steps above me in the looks department. She asked me for $20 for cover, a couple drinks, and to meet a friend waiting inside who owed her $50.

She left me her purse with wallet as collateral. She never returned. Next day I looked in the purse, it wasn't hers. I returned it to the owner and described the thief to her. She said she was a notorious crack-head, and lost her purse at a diner.

First, all four requested payment by cash app in advance, to which I staunchly refused. Then one of them suggested a gift card. Eventually, all four agreed that a gift card of some sort would be acceptable.

#3 gave me the same address as #1, only a couple of days before.

#2 and #4 both had agreed to meets and both went ghost on me at the agreed upon time.

It was VISA "Vanilla" gift card. There was nothing to scratch off on the back. 16 digits on the front, 3 on the back.

When she arrived, she started acting a little weird, but said she was scared of cats. She agreed to come to my room right any cats and we had a little fun for about 15 minutes. She supposedly started messaging her friend and had me send the cashapp payments. After a couple of minutes, her friend supposedly hadn't responded, so the transgender lady said she'd go out and get her friend. I felt stupid, but I was smart enough to have used my credit card on those cashapp transactions, so I was able to get the charges removed by calling my cc provider to report the cashapp activity as fraud. They had to cancel my cc, but that's much less inconvenient than keeping those charges.

You can set up the phone with a fake name and it looks like a real phone when they do a number search, just use the fake name when contacting providers. The only times it won't work is if the provider requires other verification that gives your real name.
