The streets are a lot safer now that this poor 76 year old dude was taken off the streets. Instead of arresting the poor bastard, that ought to give him a fucking trophy.

And I also have made it a point to lecture the girl for the entire trip what to do if we get stopped. Since it boils down to "keep your mouth shut and don't say anything". I repeat it over and over again like a broken record. It is Rule #1, 2 & 3.
I learned a long time ago in the USMC that panic gets you killed. That's why our elderly friend is in jail. The girl panicked and tried to run. Then she compounded the problem by violating rules 1,2, & 3 (see above). Then the guy panicked and tried to flee. If he would have remained calm he may have gotten a break at best, and a misdeameanor citation at worst. Now he's got his picture in the paper. Sad.

Good ol Stacey up to her usual. She should know by now how to engage the Popo. Boys, this is a good lesson. Just because you get pulled over with a known suspect doesn't mean a thing. Remain cool at all times. If you run, you are immediately resisting arrest or obstructing. Take your pick.
Best to say you are simply giving her a ride and there was never any mention of money.
