BTW, Rush on Mon and Tuesday is promoted by the same guy who does the Meerak lounge afterhours club Thur-Sunday. Joe Looking and I posted more about that spot back in February in this thread. The promoter occasionally posts a flyer on backpage about the after hours.
Rush is much nicer venue and tends to attract an older, less rowdy crowd. Also some better looking dancers as well. They go from about 11:00 pm to 4:00 am. I've never taken advantage of VIP in either spot but $.40 for lollipop based dream sounds about right.
They are promoting tonight as having some porn "star" named Dallas the Body there tonight. I never heard of her, but it's basically a way to get the dancers to pay a high tip in to work.
Takeout is always on the menu at either Rush or Meerak.
I've never seen any white dancers but I have seen more than a couple of white patrons. Occasionally a few of the guys will look a little ruff and tumble and on nights where there is a line there is the typical shit talking from some of the guys (really no different than what you hear outside any club even those with mainly white patrons). Customers at these places really are diverse. I've seen everything from black guys in slacks and ties to a guy who looked like a straight up redneck. Even if you're an older white guy I doubt you'll feel uncomfortable. If fact I saw a white guy at Velvet Room who got a lot of attention. Granted it was because he was tipping, but should you really go to these places to stand around?
I rarely say this about security anywhere, but the security at these places tends to be pretty good. I think Rush is the only place like this I have not been to and the only fight I have seen at the rest was between two dancers. I did see a guy talk shit to a security guard who probably could have curled him with one arm and to his credit the guard stayed calm through it all.
It's really worth checking these places out even at $20 (it's 10 to get in most strip clubs). I've only done the VIP at meerak and the dream you want is pretty much a sure thing because most of the dancers are pretty up front about what they are and are not willing to do back there. You've got those who just dance, those who will dance naked, those who'll let you finger them while they give you a hand job, those who'll give a BBBJ and so forth. It's really about picking the right girl. What I usually do is get a lap dance and see how handsy she lets me get. If she seems okay with me touching her in certain ways I ask about the VIP and if it's just dancing.
Pricewise I think a lot comes down to how much she thinks she can get from you and how much of a ***** she is (I had one chick say I could fuck her but it would be. 5 / song or $$). I think I've fucked 4 chicks in the VIP at meerak. The most I paid was. 8 and the least was. 4. The one who only charged me. 4 did it because I always tip her when she's on stage and I usually let her do a couple of lap dances for me. IMO since it's usually the same girls you are best off trying to build a bit of rapport and getting them to leave with you or meet you outside of the club (if they agree to meet you outside the club pay them the same or less than you would give a BP chick and don't get attached). Like I said I've fucked in the VIP, but there's not clock running so those 4 songs could easily end up being less than 10 minutes and there's also the possibility of some dude opening the door while you're balls deep in some chick (trust me it's not fun).

I have a longtime family friend who's recently turned 21 and she's never been to a SC. She's always begged me to take her to one, and I've told her I would when she comes back into town again. I don't want to overwhelm or scare her, but I also want to show her a great evening, so I'd appreciate some honest feedback.

It was clean, well-staffed, and had some very attractive ladies. The prices weren't completely outrageous, either.
I would say avoid Pure Gold in Cary like the plague, though. I'm sorry to say that because I used to go there all the time (hell, I had my bachelor party there back when I was married), but that place has definitely taken a hard left turn for the worse.

I've never been to Capital Cabaret but have heard good things. For me the Men's Club has always been a pretty low pressure environment. When I've been with friends and compared to other clientele I guess we looked a bit cheap because we were rarely approached. The couple of times I have gone alone I've only had one chick (the same one both times) approach me to buy a dance. All that said the environment is very nice there.
My personal favorite strip club is Diamond Girls in Durham. I don't think you can really beat them on price and variety of dancers. I think you'll find the greatest mix of ethnicities and body types there. There are a couple of pushy dancers but they usually take no for an answer and keep it moving. If you go on a weekend things are usually pretty packed, weeknights are somewhat hit or miss. If you get her there before 10:30 you'll find great drink specials.

I would never pay the absolutely ridiculous price they ask for dances but if you want to get a feel for the bright side of strip clubs go there. Capital Cabaret would be my next choice.

I haven't been to any Raleigh SC's in a few months. But, Capital Cabaret is nice well lit and dancer quality is generally pretty good. If you do the 15 minute VIP type of dance you are allowed a fair amount of roaming with your hands, never did the 30 min as from what I could tell it was exactly the same as the 15 but just cost more for longer time. The times I have done the 15 min option their is a curtain which is barely a curtain because it is very see through and the bouncer walks by frequently. Capital Cabaret has by far the worst tipping rail ever. It's to high and just not set up well. There are usually a few women around so that might make the experience better for her.
Pure Gold in Cary sucks, just skip it.
The Men's Club is pretty good for dancer quality but the prices are getting ridicilous at $40 a dance. If you just want a nice big club with a lot of eye candy it's not a bad spot.
I don't know of any extra's being available at any of the Raleigh clubs. But had a suspicion that take out may be an option with some girls at CC but I never pursued it as I took it for stripper shit. If anyone knows of extra friendly club / girls in the area send me a message.

The Men's Club is undergoing renovation last time I went. They're trying to make it modern so if the renovations are complete, I think it would be a great place to take your friend. One thing, I'm not sure if The Men's Club raised their prices (drinks / dance / entry fee) due to the renovations. Someone else can probably chime in on this.
