Then challenge the transaction with your bank. Just tell them that you didn't get the service that you paid for. The bank will most likely give you a temporary credit until they research the transaction. There is no way that a provider who scammed you is going to be able or prepared to defend the transaction. So the bank will likely make the credit permanent after a month or so. You can usually do the whole thing online with most banks.

Worst case scenario, the bank rejects your challenge and you are back where you started.

Just tell the bank that it was for a massage or a meeting, and it was a scam and no service was rendered. It's more likely to get the provider in trouble than you.

I am not making this up. I have done this successfully myself. You just don't want to do it often or your bank will flag you.

Arizona law gives quite a large (too much) leeway in protecting property. One can threaten deadly force to prevent trespassing. One can use reasonable force to remove a person who is trespassing. The whole scheme seems like it was well thought out. However, it seems that once you and him left the room he lost any right to initiate physical contact. However, he could say he was writing down your plate since he thought you had broken into his room. Of course the girl can testify in his favor and this really seems like the perfect crime.
