Mama is cute / pretty, kitchen is decent at mainly Korean food (surprise) and the butterfish. Kbgs there are well past their prime / sunsetted. A decent safe place to catch a game, a few cold ones while avoid being bothered to buy drinks. Parking can be very problematic especially on weekdays. I prefer not to be double parked. This place is not to be confused with Green Tee. Stay Safe on the Sabbath.

Mama is cute and bartends drinks was $20 same as KBG on the older side. Action can be had with KBG upstairs but pricey four fifty but before Liquor Commission goes on duty or Sundays. Never partake, since its double what the AMP charges, no shower and KBG won't do any massage. Better just jack your chicken and save four Benjamines and a fifty. KBG are nuts thinking guys going do a quick 5 minute action for that amount.

Anyone been out lately? Been staying mostly in town now days, in the Business / Secret / Camelot / Splash area. Not much more choices in that area. Already wrote in the vietnamese bar thread about Secret. Splash same old thing. Hung out with Jae and Momi a few times. Didn't spend much but cool to hang with. Saw some interesting prospects in there but save $$ for another time. Business same old. Guess we not good enough for anyone but still cool to drink a few and take in the eye candy running around. Camelot saw two interesting prospects. One was on the skinnier side with a darker tan. Could pass as local I guess. Other was a typical younger looking kgirl with the pale skin but she was really curvy. Long straight black hair. Then had one older looking girl. Definitely nice to look at.

Trip into a few Kalihi bars. Bars full for MNF but empty out shortly thereafter. 5-0 was slow. Few bros singing but the feedback was awful. Lilac was even slower. GT has a few older ladies but none that I'd buy a drink for. Honu has the best assortment of kbgs pros but still limited. It was by far the busiest kb in the Waiakamilo complex. 1010 & Golden Tree were both empty. Many of the kbs have started selling Super Bowl blocks. Go and make your cash donation. I haven't been in Green Tee recently, but I was in another KB over the weekend and I heard one of the bar girls mention that GT was changing name. She didn't know what the new name was going to be, or any other details.

Bishops Estate owns huge plots of land in Kalihi including the entire Dillingham to and King Street block from The Canal to the hosing areas. Most of Kou and Kokea will be demolished and Muli unit housing and businesses will be built. I'd say about 10 to 14 bars will be closed within 5 years.

When the older folks die out, it will mean the end of a long, good era. It was good while it lasted. Enjoy your time now before it is too late.

Night clubs open till 4 am, KB, Viet, Japanese bars, great free pupu's, cheap food and drink. Mama used to serve us free food, sashimi etc. Bars had lots of young good looking girls. Since legal drink age went up and lots of DUI check points and aged out customers and woman bars are a dying business, it's like the cycle of live. Business environments changeover time I will enjoy it as much as I can. Woman have passed away, quit, moved away and or retired.

Nicky mama from Spotlite purchased the lease at Platinum and will renovate / reopen in Feb. Mama from Wave will be joining forces at Vegas. Keiko mama returns to Honu in May. The beat goes on, at least for now.
