Dollies. Closed
Title pretty much says it all. It is not a typo. Was in the area this afternoon and decided to swing by real quick and found that it had been shut down for code violations. When I get a chance I will upload a picture of the actual code violation in case anybody wants to investigate.

My phone is being a pain and not letting me upload the photo.
The only thing it actually says though is that it is a violation of "City Ordinance no. 4550".
Village of Washington Park.
My sleuthing attempts have turned up nothing.

Dollie's Code
I can think of several issues that were probably in violation of health and safety codes, would like to see the actual notice.
That's an oxymoron.

Day clubs?
Hoping to make a trip or two next week and wondering if any of the clubs are worth a shit during the day currently? Feel free to PM and thanks!

I'm not sure how to get around this issue. Any suggestions for a tech challenged monger? Help me out and I'll start posting pics for you guys.

Rhonda's?
My search in this area of the site only showed conversation about Rhonda's from 2016 and before. Has anyone tried this place out for some hidden talent?

It will reopen later under the name "Dog Pound", "Dog House", or something along those lines. I'm sure there were code violations as well. I found this out over a week ago and forgot to report. I learned this after going there and seeing the sign on the door. I then went over to Moochie's (Blondie's) and was informed by Trixie, one of the long time girls there. Take this info as you will.

Rhonda's

Has anyone tried this place out for some hidden talent?
Maybe search under just Rhonda and avoid any issues with spelling. I went a couple times in 2018. Small place with a bar, pool table, stage as I remember. Girls dress with bikini type outfits, dance, and then mingle with the crowd. The girls seemed to gravitate to a few regulars at the bar. I did luck out once and met a dancer that just moved to the area. I gave her my phone number, she called, and we had some take out fun at her motel. Probably not happen for me again but it was nice.

PharmD00.
There's a club in Brooklyn, located across the street from the former Roxy's, called Dawg Pound Gentleman's Club. I think in the old days it was PT's Brooklyn. My understanding is it gets packed, especially at night, but they're open during the day as well. My guess would be this ownership group acquired Dollie's.

Well if that's the case, I'm beginning to see why some of the longtime staff just up and quit a couple of months ago. If all this is correct I'm guessing whoever made a power play deal with WP officials to snag Dollies for themselves has "big" plans. I'm guessing they will try and turn it into another Wise Guys clone or with a name like Dawg (anything) maybe a re-incarnation of clubs like the old Pink Slip.
Who knows. If and when it opens again I'll likely check it out, but if it's another carbon copy of the other clubs in WP I think my club days are done.

Farewell Dollies
Can't imagine WP without Dollies. It truly was one of the universal constants I've enjoyed for a long, long time. I honestly don't know of any such dive bar cathouse anywhere else. It was a resource that made the hobby bearable in St Louis. We can hardly hope this new incarnation will be similar.

A middle class white male (now 59) from St Chas, the ONLY reason I ever went to WP was for the adult entertainment. During the 80's, '90's the adult club business was thriving on different levels. I even heard stories about the 70's to a degree from old timers I worked with. But it took off in the 80's.
I've no reason now to go to WP, Centerville etc, older & wiser I am. Mostly good / GREAT memories from my visits to the adult establishments, I heard or read plenty of bad / sad stories as well. Fortunately I was only jumped in a parking lot once and robbed. I'm fine, but a lesson learned the hard way. I never got pulled over, I stayed sober on the Eastside!! I joined USASG for getting info on the IL clubs, other members helped out many times w PMs and feedback. But I stopped going over 3 years ago, it is NOTHING like it was a decade ago. Not worth the trouble. For those who still frequent the few clubs open, stay safe.
I recall various articles written on the IL adult clubs, so I just did a google search and these came up. The memories live on.
