Maybe the person took one towel too many or used too much water? With police it seems like they can just lie and say you looked suspicious, out of place, and or you drove away strangely, and unless you have the means to defend they usually are able to get away violating many a person's rights and civil liberties.

Heaven forbid you ever exit your vehicle with your wallet in your hands. Seen a video where the guy got shot multiple times for simply being courteous and having a wallet in his hand that the shot first ask questions later officer mistook for a gun.
