Now when your wife goes to a doctor when she doesn't feel right she will find out she has it and know it came from you if you are the only guy she's been with. If you are positive you need to tell her for her own health. Yes it may be a sad ending to a happy marriage but in the end you can at least say at least you told your wife the truth.

A negative test for trich in men is not an assurance. It's not actually that easy to test for. It's not standard to test for in most settings unless the lady is presenting with symptoms. This is the big ethical dilemma you'll have to wrestle with. No matter what you're just going to have to roll the dice.

Yes, her symptoms could be mistaken for something else, but the swab / culture results will confirm it as trich. Even if you go get treated for it and choose not to tell your wife and continue to sleep with her unprotected, you will re-expose yourself to trich.

Oil weakens latex, quite extremely. That is why there are special lubes that are latex safe, instead of just using vaseline or lotion.
