It seemed like 7 out of 10 posts were backbiting and feuding. A lot of wasted space. As for your view on some seniors vs."newbies", there are reasons for their reactions. As Decat said, a poster with no or few posts to their credit is suspect. They may well be a fake personality monitoring the board to gather intel for LE. For this reason some here will only PM info to protect the lady in question. Until someone establishes themselves, they are an outsider. Not just on this board, that's pretty much how life works. Once you've been here a while you might notice one really annoying habit of a few newcomers. A first or second post asking about someone or something that was discussed a few pages back. It shows that they aren't even checking out the forums when they first find this site, thus they aren't getting a feel for how things work here. Once again, that issue isn't unique to this board. In any social situation a guy who walks in the first time expecting the royal treatment is going to get some scorn. Rudeness tends to beget rudeness. No one here is going to peel a newcomers grapes for him. It seems like the past few months have shown a sharp increase in newcomers ignoring site etiquette, in spite of the fact that the info is available to all. It's right on the first page in the left side column. All they have to do is read it. It's really not a surprise that tempers are flaring.

Finally, I can only suggest that if reading the Tampa forum is such a waste of time for you, that you just stick with the Sarasota forum.

It just doesn't seem to be this bad in the sarasota forum. I know there are a lot less people posting in Sarasota but we seem to share much better than Tampa. St. Pete seems pretty good too. I'm not saying anyone should be treated like a king but I feel its better to help the new guys with questions so that they can become better contributors and then I feel like I have another set of eyes looking for me.
