I'd say 99% of the ladies / bots that ask for deposits are scams. I typically pass if asked to pay a deposit. I would agree with you on the research though. One of my regular providers asked for a 25 $ deposit the first 2 visits. I happily paid as I wouldn't have been out much if it was a scam. I don't know if I would do a100 $ deposit though, even with a researched / highly reviewed provider.
