I'd like to ask a question. A piece of advice, really. I have been lurking and reading for a good long while but have not posted before or even participated in the hobby. Well, once. But that was a good 15 years ago and a one-off thing.
I am looking to possibly get back in a bit but have a concern that maybe is common with amateurs like myself. I am just about to finish up a divorce that's been going on for almost 2 years thanks to an unstable "other party" who refused to cooperate in the process and kept moving around the country making it difficult to divorce her. But that's just about done and in those almost-2 years I have been completely without action of any sort. A choice I made for a couple reasons but still. Nothing at all.
For that long. As you can imagine I have no interest right now in anything resembling dating, relationships, etc. I just need to bank some physical action and relief.
Without commitment. So I'm here.
My concern is this: I am a full-time single father to two teenage sons from a previous relationship. I have full custody. I am their only full-time parent, their only support and if something were to happen to me, well, they'd be hard put to say the least. So I have concern about getting into this hobby at all and getting busted or in trouble. I can't have that happen. Can't risk the hard-fought custody of my kids as you can imagine and can't risk them being away for a very-rare weekend of visiting their mother and me being nabbed and unable to be there for them when it was time for them to come home.
So I'm wondering if there is a particular avenue that might be safest for a guy like me. Street? AMP? Private BP provider? As much as I would want quality, I would most importantly need to someone I knew was legit and not LEO. Trying to think with the proper head and all. I'm in Tampa but moving around the area for the best option is not a problem.

The two safest options are AMPs and well-reviewed girls, whether here or on other well-known review sites. That's the route I usually take. Don't be a "take one for the team" kind of guy. I really admire the guys who do that and I wish I could, but it's just a risk I cannot take, so I only see girls with at least one review by a well-known reviewer. (Of course, if you go way back when I was more active on this site, you'll see I used to TOFTT all the time.) Still, if I have info I share it, and you should, too. Don't just lurk.
If AMPs aren't your cup of tea, I'd go with Backpage. (I love both, but I like the kind of AMP experience you can't often find anymore.) But do your research first. Google names and phone numbers. Don't use your own phone. Get the cheapest smartphone you can find, but get a smartphone. That way you can use its web browser for your research and not run the risk of things showing up on your computer's browser history. (There are of course very simple techniques to make sure that doesn't happen, like using an additional user account on your computer or using the private browsing options supported by most modern browsers.).

Secondly I would suggest a BP provider, SW's are way better "bang for the buck" so to speak but cruising brings an added amount of risk. If your kids are gone for the weekend use these boards to do research on providers to find out they're legit. It's a safe bet that a woman with 30-50 reviews on various sites is probably not LEO. Then have her do an incall at your place or you at theirs whichever makes you more comfortable. Also since I don't know your cash flow or how frequently you'd want to do this I'd say make sure to spend a decent penny and get a nice one. Real annoying when a girl shows up nodding out and asking you to take her places and shit.

Your best bet, IMO, is to go with a BP girl who has a LOT of good reviews, and who doesn't have any mention of "party favors". Some you should probably take a look at are Sandra in Brandon; Nicole in St. Pete; the Discreet Meets (DM) girls, especially Brooke; and Summer in Tampa (the younger blonde one I reviewed here).
