However, previously I dated her many times. She had a turbulent relationship with a guy she called her boyfriend and then her "husband". I never had the impression, or any reason to believe, that he was a "pimp" who was forcing her to work as a provider.

Amused, I asked her why she told the second customer that she was available when she already had a confirmed appointment with the first customer. She replied that the second customer was going to pay her more money than the first customer.
Regarding the subject of rushing, in my experience Joelle can sometimes have a tendency to rush. Yet, by explaining your expectations in advance and being firm with her, in my experience that tendency can be overcome. After I had dated her a few times, she then consistently provided good dates that were not rushed. However, as usual, YMMV.
