Not surprised Madison and Decatur Foot Massage were targeted.
Surprised Health Massage was a target. Went there for YEARS when Eva was there and NEVER a hint of extras. Nothing going on there as of late as far as I could tell.
Guess even the police didn't like the smell of Mei Massage. LOL.

It seems clear that Foot Massage Madison's practices brought a spotlight on the whole Chinese massage "empire" and has led to their closing. I do not think there will be any evidence of sexual activities at the other locations. It is sad that the workers that have been moved to other cities will not get to share in the compensation from Alabama's civil action.
Maybe we all need to step back and look at the situation from the worker's viewpoint. The workers are here because of coercion, they work 7 day weeks, 12 hour days, and for no real compensation. By frequenting these establishments we are allowing them to continue to exist. It is hard to identify them as "legitimate business". Eventually they will probably all be closed as slavery was banned centuries ago. We can keep getting asian massages, but we should not look at our visits as a "transaction between two consenting adults". Just my two cents.

MM.[/QUOTE]Bullshit. "Human Trafficking" is the simply the umbrella term that is used to justify crackdowns on prostitution by a combination of prudes, feminists, and Deputy Dogs. They can all get behind this because it is all done to protect and save the "victims". While I understand that their working conditions are not what Americans consider ideal, they have a pretty good idea of what they are coming to do by leaving China. China has AMPs too and you can bet they get paid a lot less than they do here.
Most, if not all, of these women are illegals who have overstayed a tourist visa. They are brought over by groups of owners of the AMPs (ominously called "gangs" or the Chinese "mafia" by the media and LE) and work off their debt incurred for coming here. Like I said, it sucks by American standards but it must beat living in China because they keep coming.
What is that you say? But after these raids, the girls say they were tricked and held virtually prisoner. Well put yourself in their position. If you remain silent or fess up, you will be probably be charged with prostitution in a foreign country and eventually deported back to China OR you can say you are victim of human trafficking (with proper coaching from uncle LEO of course), be granted asylum in the US and go to live at a women's or refugee shelter while you paperwork for permanent residency is processed. Which would you do?
I saw the same place yesterday. I was going to stop in to see if they accepted insurance. I've needed a good acupuncturist that takes insurance for a while that's not all the way in Elkmont. Maybe I'll have a shot to get over there this weekend.

Especially in light of this latest missive on those dastardly cruel human traffickers. Despite the fact that this was likely LEO's way of keeping our local AMPs 'on notice', these ladies are far from the abused sex slaves you would have us believe they are. I also understand who most of these ladies make their money and most do quite well. This business is not only lucrative for the owners but the girls as well. Often earning far more in the time they spend here than ever they would make in China or even in Korea. Even the FS locations (of course none here) have the girls making tidy sums. Reason is, the Owners are the ones who will spend 'time' when caught and the girls treated as 'victims'. These so-called 'traffickers' prefer their ladies be satisfied with their cut on their services lest they turn on the Managers. There are girls who are trafficked and THAT is deplorable and despicable but it is NOT happening at these AMPs.
Have not been there in awhile as it was never a " go to place " for me. But you could always count on a good tease and a cute gal most of the time. Especially when Wei Wei was there. I see it has under gone some serious remodeling since my last visit. And today was a very cute younger gal. But the massage sucked. Not a hint of tease and her personality sucked also. The first visit was rushed but the next visit I received the full amount of time paid for. She is sweet and doesn't do anything more than she promotes.
