In a business such as being an escort where typically the youngest and most inexperienced workers are in the highest demand and will draw the highest wages I don't believe any kind of conventional marketing theory would be applicable. IMO they are just trying to get their name and number out there for us to see. It is a well understood marketing concept that any publicity including bad publicity is better than none at all, especially if it's free.
