And honestly, if you just pick one up off the web that looks sorta like you, it won't be a problem w / prospects. I have one of a well-dressed guy some people have said I looked like. Realistically, the feds won't do shit about it unless you were famous like Jeff Bezos or some shit. Your local prosecutors / law enforcement will look into the attempt to extort you.

The "unfortunate" part is the fact that you'll have to REVEAL TO OTHER PEOPLE that you use SA to find other women. Assuming there is an actual LEO investigation, your name and information would have to go in a police report (public), a prosecutor's file (public), and potentially have to appear in court to testify (also public).

Laughed and hung up. Never heard from again. LE will not text or call you in this situation. They show up at your known residence or place of employment.

This morning I ran my filter for 'Athens Area" on SA, and noticed a literal flood of new faces. Over the previous 12 hours, 50+ profiles popped up which had not been there over the last few weeks. Some were brand new, many were months or even years old. Almost all only contained 1 or 2 pictures, and very brief AboutMe / Seeking info. Some however did reference college, UGA, or Athens specifically.

Either there are dozens of women in Athens who lost money on the Super Bowl, or somewhere a scammer operation cycled through to "Athens GA" on the spreadsheet of profiles to refresh. One dead giveaway is how many of the profiles show the recent location as "Russian Federation, Pakistan, India". I suppose there could be a lot of broke coeds returning from a semester abroad in some shitty locations. But honestly it it appears to be a staggering glimpse of the fraud going on if they are running dozens of fake accounts in this one small area alone.

Any of why'all seen similar things happen before?

Definitely one of the easier methods to screen them is to look at their recent locations and sure enough they will be from somewhere overseas. If there's a doubt I sometimes ask a question about the local area the they might not know if they're not actually from the city they claim to be from. I find that the ones that immediately want to go to Kik or text are nearly 100% fakes. If they ask for pics I don't send until we've talked awhile. I also keep my SA pics private. And isn't it AMAZING how many of them are in med school. But are willing to travel at the drop of a hat LOL. To me it's a matter of weeding out the scammers and the ones that want outrageous amounts of money. To those who want something "platonic". I mean, how many profiles have you seen with lingerie pics and then in the description they claim they only want a platonic relationship. Cracks me up every time. Once you wade through the ones that aren't really serious you can find some decent girls on Seeking.
