Ya know, you can look at it 2 ways;
1. WHAS just educated thousands of people how to find providers on craigslist so I'm betting the girls that advertise now are going to be very busy for the next month. Furthermore, they reinforced the fact that is it only a misdemeanor if the girls get caught.
2. THE BAD SIDE: with press comes pressure on local Goverment to get control of it. What was something the local authorities turned a blind eye to for the most part will soon be a solid focus. Look for changes and more arrests, stings.
I gave advice to one before to "get her ass to Indiana". I hope she takes that advice. Heats going to get hotter in Louisville very soon.
I just love how the do-good righteous always assume that 'johns' are married men that are destroying an otherwise good marriage with children. Yes, there are probably a few married mongers, but in my experience most mongers are actually single guys that are disenchanted with the current dating scene. And yes, you can always find a few guys that will cheat and mess around on there wives, and most arent even soliciting prostitutes, they are cheating with the wife's cousin or the girl at work or possibly the girl next door. It's fact that if a a man is happy at home he most likely wont stray. If a married man is cheating on the spouse it is most likely a doomed marriage ANYWAY, regardless if he is also seeing a prostitute or not. To blame a broken home on prostitution is just an easy way out for a married woman to put the blame on something else other than her not keeping her man happy at home.
Secondly, they talk about disrupted lives and so-called 'victims' of prostitution. Notice though that they obviously couldnt find any of these "victims" to interview for the news item. Oh wait, they found one supposed 'former' prostitute that feels guilty about what she did. Seems she didnt feel so guilty for a whole two years when she was running to the bank laughing every day with her '$7800' dollars (a number that i highly doubt is accurate). Maybe they should instead do a study or a newsflash on how many lives were disrupted, ruined, and permanently messed up by the police and there so-called 'investigations'. I would be willing to bet the farm that the numbers are much higher than any supposed 'victims' of prostitution. A prostitute was once asked by a police officer why she did what she was doing, being abused and exploited by 'johns'... She straightway informed the officer that she was treated far better by johns, than any police ever treated her.
Thirdly, this news investigation is disingenious for not examing the other side of the coin. It is a one-sided view into what is the oldest profession in the world. Women have been selling sex since time (or man was walking upright) began. The argument could be well made that most women are still doing it, albeit just not in an open outright illegal way. Ask any man who is paying child support, alimony, or takes a girl out to eat at Ruthy's Chris steakhouse how expensive that peice of ass was (or is). A recent study showed that 80% of all women would be homeless if it were not for the man they were married to or living with. Obviously, the man is paying the bill here.
Take a good look at the website Plenty-Of-Fish once, almost every ad on there for a single woman has the headline "Is there any good men out there?", What they really mean is "Are there any good men with a nice paying job, a house for me and my 2-4 children to live in, and a nice vehicle for me to drive, and in exchange you might get to sleep with me once in a while?". And people wonder why there is such a high demand for prostitutes. You can skip all the bullshit, get what you want, and go home to peace and quiet, and usually at a lesser cost than if you try to 'date' a regular chic. Men are with women because they want to GET LAID, period. If a man wants a friend, other guys make way better fishing buddies than most women do, with alot less nagging and whining.
How about examining the fact the the U.S is one of the few countries in the world, that punishes people for prostitution. Its only wrong and illegal because a couple of do-good righteous moral fanatics decided to say that it is. People in the U.S are in jail only because they dont live in Nevada!
In amsterdam, they literally have 'shopping windows' that a monger can walk along and choose which girl he wants. None of those girls are forced to do that. Dont get me wrong, im all against exploiting young girls or forced sexual slavery by anyone, it is wrong. However, most escorts in the U.S do it because its easy money and/or they are to lazy to do what it takes to get a 'normal' job. Same with the crackheads, its quick easy money. There are many guys that are crackheads too, yet you dont see them out there walking the street to make a quick 20 bucks. The bottom line is, the argument that these girls are forced to do this is very weak.

People talking about women being abused never recognize that the women are the ones making the money.
I recognize no woman grows up wanting to come here. She is driven by unfortunate circumstances that force her here when she sees no other way. Also, once here many get hooked on aspects of it and are unable to exit when they can. Also, many are eventually forced out by aspects of the business worse than what drove them here in the first place. So my heart goes out to them, every one.

Oh, and in other news I helped start the hilarious catfight back in 2007 between Brooklyn21 and Courtney/Kelly/Star. I kept flagging the other's ads and the resulting catfight was pretty funny to watch, more so than Scoresman's attempts at humor on this board. I saved their posts about each other for a while. Too funny.
Brook21 worked at (Doll House?) temporarily that year. When I went there 2008, their was another chick named Star working there. Asked if she knew a Brooklyn, she just say no, but she beat one up last week! 8{] Too funny.

I tried the link regarding Hailey's, Blue's and Jozel's etc busts on WHAS and it appears to be broken. When I Google the story it says page can't be displayed. I can't read it or see the video. Is there something wrong with my browser, etc? Can you all view it? Does anyone know where I can find the details of the story? I didn't catch all of it last night and I would really like to read or watch the details. Help is much appreciated!

I would bet one of the girls lawyered up and forced WHAS to remove the story and video. Could a slander lawsuit be brewing?

But it is public record so I still don't get it. Other than them referring to our city as, "perverted". Maybe that is what pissed some higher-up off.
I emailed the station for an answer on why it can no longer be viewed. It's been two days and they won't respond. Something fishy here. Guess they won't admit they f*cked up!
Driving down Berry and saw four police cars at Thorobreds. I went on about my way but came back a few hours later to see what happened. It sounds some undercover cops arrested two (or maybe three) dancers and one of the bartenders. Strangly enough when I was there, things seemed like they were normal. Peaches (the owner) didn't seem too fazed after the fact when I got there.
