In an effort to crack down on a known link to drug abuse, the New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Unit conducted an undercover operation last week that culminated recently with charges against suspected prostitutes and men who allegedly tried to pay them for sex.

The operation, the results of which were announced Thursday, led to citations against 11 individuals — three women and eight men — on charges of either engaging or soliciting prostitution.

The vice and narcotics unit launched the operation in response to complaints from concerned citizens.

'Prostitution has been a growing concern in our community, ' said Capt. David Ciamillo, the unit's commander, in a statement. 'There is a known connection between prostitution and narcotics use and it's very concerning to us. '

This is really simple guys, donation in a inexpensive birthday card with envelope and and never handed directly to the lady. If the lady mentions $$$ or GOD FORBID mentions pills for service, shout out "I have no idea what you are talking about" and walk out of the room. Never, ever discuss "this service for that amount". '[/QUOTE]As I recall, the "new" pill bill from last year, is / was is being altered in this session because it doesn't work properly. Yes you are right, there is an increase in H use, partly as a problem associated with "crush" proof pain pills (this is why a lot are turning to generic "perc 30s"). However, the story you are referencing is a traditional sex sting op, this isn't what the stories floating around here are, not yet at least.

What is going on here is ODD. 1 seems to be a drug focused case, the other an actual sting to nab a provider. There have been loads of drug stings in the area and state, but it is very odd that the individual involved was part of it, from what others have noted about her. The provider sting is even weirder as I do not recall hearing of these happening here, at least not beyond the SW level.

I have been active in the scene for many years, probably more than most. I relocated to your fine city not long ago from Florida and have started to familiarize myself and enjoy some of the options you guys have around here. Unless you have additional information that was not included, a motel clerk and a bodyguard (we refer to them as pimps in Miami) in the parking lot will not cause a lady to be charged with prostitution.
