I see others in this Forum making enough grammatical mistakes to choke a horse, so I have to laugh to myself when someone decides to take me to task on grammar. And, who cares anyway? I don't claim to be perfect, and I make an occasional mistake. However, more often than not, there is usually relatively little wrong with my grammar or spelling or the clarity of my writing, especially compared with the vast majority of posters on here.
Why would anyone choose to focus on my grammar in the first place? I could think of several reasons:
1. There is nothing going on in their own lives or towns.
2. They are just naturally sour and negative.
3. They had a lousy childhood.
4. Pure unadulterated envy is eating its way through their brain stems when they see another monger having a LOT more fun than they are or ever will.
5. As a result of 1 through 4 above, they have nothing to contribute of a positive or useful nature, so they throw rocks, and any stupid subject will do, grammar included, anything to make trouble. The most visible and obvious targets for these rocks tend to be those who are the most voluminous contributors. Unfortunately we have more than our fair share of rock throwers in this Forum. Stupidity and jealousy are things which we always seem to have in plentiful supply.
