I will chime in with my two cents. I have been in this hobby for over 20 years and have had 1 cash and dash and one almost robbery. The cash and dash was early in my hobby years when I thought I knew the hobby rules. Met a young lady at an apartment complex, she says she needs the money to pay rent blah blah blah, I think with the wrong head and I am out 150 bucks. Fast forward a few months, find same girl posting. Communicate with her via a different number, agree to meet at same complex but this time I arrive an hour early with 3 of my friends who also hobby. Long story short, she is out her phone, we cut up her I'd, credit cards, and I get back my 150 plus burn her other cash. Yes I know this was stupid, but I was pissed and thought what was she going to do. It could have gone a lot worse for me but I wasn't thinking. I wanted revenge, but as I have gotten more experienced this was the wrong way to go about it IMHO.
The almost robbery was a young lady from SA. Agreed to meet at a local hospital. I arrived on time, first mistake, she arrived before me but was not in or near her car, first red flag. I pick her up, second mistake and we find a spot. We go to the backseat, she doesn't start to undress, red flag number 2, I stay alert and notice a cream colored BMW drifting our way, red flag number 3. I grab my mace and blackjack and notice 2 guys jump out of the BMW and run towards my car. I mace the girl and jump into the drivers seat and she somehow gets out of the backseat. I lock my car and drive off as the guys bang on my trunk. I escape. I drive by the BMW and take a picture of the license plate. My friend who hobbies is ex-LE who was a private investigator. He is able to get me an address and name of the owner. I text the girl with a burner number and let her know that I know who they are and where they live. I tell her to go look at the note on her windshield. The note says something along the lines of, my turn see if you can find what we did to your car, your house, and your other car. We did nothing but wanted to get in their heads. I also subscribed them to a shit ton of spam mail, text blasts, and posted her number everywhere about being a scammer.
My point is, follow the rules and that will give you the best chance to not fall prey to all of the stupid shit some of these ladies try to pull. Sometimes you can get revenge but be smart about it. A lot of the times it will a lesson learned that needs to be shared so we all learn.
Be Safe.
That sounds just like some shit I would if I was robbed or scammed. I do try to calm myself down and think things thou. Be more careful etc. I do try to let minor things go when stuff happens. Let's just say I am a nice guy, but been known to go overboard when negative things happen to me. I would definitely be coming up with something with this chick who's robbing people. If that shit happen to me. I really don't have nothing to lose type of mentally. But at the same time. Shit can go sideways too. Unless you have people backing you. You will less of a chance to go sideway. If not I would let it go. But we definitely need to keep track of her. I would help if I knew you guys were strong. Like strong minded and back each other.
