There is no usual way to accomplish this outside stopping, making contact, engaging in conversation and making a decision to pass or not. All of which is tough to do while driving 25-30 mph.
Regarding my hobbing practices, have not been driving much since gas hit 3. 25. Its better on CL as the prices have dropped to 80-100 AND you get to see it before doing it and some even come to my place. Not to pick nits, but the average wage in 1968 was about $2.75 per hour. Now it's about $19 per hour. On that basis, their wages are about keeping up with ours.

I happened to be in Providence yesterday mid-morning. Elmwood had no action, so I tried Olneyville. They can be nasty and the one I got threatened.
