First let me say that I am somewhat new to the hobby, and I have been staking the board for a couple of months, but have not felt I had anything noteworthy to post. I learned many things from everyone, and am having better success on my hunts, but now I have a question that I have not seen asked, and hope someone can't help me out. I am planning an overnight expedition in the near future, and not sure what motel to use as base. I have driven past all the ones on Keowie/N Dixie, but I question their condition and safety. Are any on these motels decent, or would I be better to stay out on Miller Lane, or even someplace totally different.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I posted a similar question for the Baltimore board a couple of days ago. Not sure if you are being ignored because of your lack of posts or just got lost in the responses from the Casual Dayton post.

Unfortunately I haven't been to Dayton in a couple of years, so some of the motels have had some 'changes' made I'm sure.

There are several motels on N. Keowee and Dixe that might do for a night. They are definitely in the 1 star range or lower, but that is why they are 'notels'.

You will need to figure what you want to spend and the kind of 'neighbors' you may have. Most of the 'notels' are a haven for dealers, pimps and hookers, so unless you feel comfortable around them for an extended period, I'd not stay. Another 'neighbor' you might encounter can be [url=http://www.usasexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=837768&postcount=610]read about in this post[/url].

For better facilities, there is the Holiday Inn on Wagner Ford Rd. Just don't get a room near the pool. All the room doors are inside, but there are multiple external doors that need your room key to open. I'd also guarantee you they have cameras to watch who comes in with you.

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, there are some cheaper motels up along Miller Lane near I-70. Again, I haven't stayed in one in a while, so I can't speak as to their 'girl friendly' attitude.

If nothing else, maybe this will get some discussion started to help you out.

Been lurking for a while and have not been on the hunt for some time but that will change soon. Discretionary funds are improving so soon the hunt begins! As far as places to stay, the places along Miller Ln should be good and safe, ones with exterior room entrances would of course attract the least attention. Only problem with this area is that its a good 7 to 8 miles from the areas you want to be looking at many sw's fuss when you try to take them out of their area. Or try the Days Inn near Harshman Rd and Valley St, should still be open plus it has outside entrances and maybe 2 miles from the track. Would stay away from the notels on Keowee, they attract too much le, not to mention dealers, pimps and bed bugs.

Although somewhat inconvenient I have recently operated from Miller Ln. If you stay at Motel 6 request a King size bed for $3.00 more. I have stayed there a few times and told that occasionally you can have a good dream there. I did in fact have a dream there last week with Bonnie that I did not report on as I don't believe she is there as a rule so I did not want to send anyone hunting unecessarily. I did check in there a couple of weeks ago with Melissa at my side with no problem. I once stayed at the Knights Inn but they said they had no rooms at the advertised rate and the one I got was a dump. I have also stayed across I75 at Hawthorne Suites. With a coupon out of the roomsaver travel magazine I got a room for 49.00 that includes a full kitchen, fireplace etc. It also has individual entrances with no concern for interruption. No matter you need to survey the best route to and from the locations, look for the easiest way to I75 as it is pretty quick from anywhere depending on the time of day and construction. Speaking of cruised Main this afternoon from Santa Clara to Siebenthaler is a nightmare due to construction. I have considered the notels on Keowee myself but have not tried. There is one near the siebenthaler intersection that is right next door to a strip club. Melissa tells me there is a blonde with big ones that does take out from there. She started yelling and cussing for me to hurry ALL WHILE I WAS IN HER MOUTH! I took this for about 2 or 3 minutes, with her yelling the whole time, before I decided that this wasn't worth it. I told her to stop, gave her the. 20 (because I am just too nice of a guy, I guess) and told her I would take her back. We went back to the spot where we met and she opened up the door before I even stopped my vehicle, and jumped out almost before I came to a stop.

I was ready to head back to town when I saw another WSW, this one a little older. I made the pickup and she introduced herself as Amy. Cop check and negotiations as before, but this time the performance was great. Good technique, no rush, and no complaints. Afterward, I gave her a ride to a convenience store, and then dropped her off at her "friend's" house.. 20 plus. 10 tip, all well worth it.

Another empty run tonight.

Could not make it out during daylight. Had to do the work thing. I started my drive right around midnight.

LE was very active on 3rd and 5th. They were everywhere I turned. This area has gotten very risky in my opinion.

Xenia was empty. So I chose to go up to Dixie. There was nothing but empty streets.

Around 1 am I decided to come back down and hit Smiths, Linden.... they turned up empty also. but there was LE present.

I decided to go down 5th and then go out N Main. Sure enough, LE with lights flashing. And a 3rd LE was on his way. I got out of there in a hurry.

Is It getting to cold? LE turning up the heat? or am I just blind because I am not having the luck that some of the others on here are having and I don't know If It's just me but It seems like LE Is popping up almost everywhere I turn.

Just went over them the other day. It's not looking good and It Is getting much more dangerous. LE Is everywhere now. I was on the hurt earlier. 3rd, 5th, X, D, M all the same, Empty and LE just around the corner. I would not be surprised at all If they were reading this post and others. It's funny how all the spots that are talked about on here seems to be were they are hanging out.

One thing I've said before and I'll continue to state. Despite our joking, LE is not stupid. They know what is going of in their 'beat'. They know the regulars in or who ply through either selling or partaking of various 'illegal' activities.

I moved to Dayton in the mid 80's and left around 15 years ago and the monger strolls HAVE NOT changed in that time. USSexguide existed when I left, but it was the pre Jackson version. Main Street seems to have ladies further north and E. Third has ladies further to the east, I hardly ever recall seeing ladies near Smithville, but it's still the same streets and areas. It does not take a rocket scientist to

So yes, I am sure LE is reading the forum and gathering some info from it, but we still don't beat 40 hours a week on the street looking for 'crime'.

DPD has in the past, as has MCSO, upped the ante when things get too flagrant on the streets. This may be one of the those times. The city will soon need those 'resources' for real work and things will return to normal.

You just need to be a lot more aware of your surroundings in times like these. You've got to watch for the 'good' bad guys (LE and neighborhood watch) and the 'bad' bad guys (the pimps, pushers and gang bangers).

There's also the possiblity that it's the residual effect from the traditional time to step up high-profile, high-publicity LE, i.e., the weeks immediately preceding any election.
