Anyone have hands on experience with statins? Any side effects? My LDL cholesterol is high (Tris and HDL are fine) and I've brought it down 22 points naturally over the last 4 months, but its still in the 130's and I'd like to get it down to around 100. Current natural pace would take until early next year to do so. I'm thinking of getting stantins to speed up the decrease, but worried about side effects. I'd like to hear if any mongers have tried it themselves and if so what were the results.

Only adverse side effect for me was diarrhea, but eventually that resolved. It's been fairly effective, but I don't have the specifics (they're in the doctor's records).
Of course, one person's experience with a particular drug may easily be different from another person's experience, so it would be a good idea to Google the potential side effects of any drug.

No side effects for me. It has been very effective on the total cholesterol and somewhat on the LDL.

The doctors should have your records so they know what side effects if any you have. I started on 20 mg but never changed my diet so had to bump up to the 40 mg. I started it about 5 or 6 years ago.
Good luck man we all are getting older. Good thing they make drugs for most of what we end up getting.

My initial free test levels were not extremely low but I chose to optimize as I lead an active lifestyle and do shift work which can be a detriment on hormone levels as we age. I'm also under a specialist care who prescribes me test cypionate and anavar. The anavar I cycle at 8-10 weeks 50 mg a day and then 3 months off. Everyone's needs and dosage can be different and everything I do is monitored with regular bloodwork to which I have had zero issues or side effects. I would advise you do your own research and educate yourself. And for fuck sakes don't get on gear cause you think it will help you get jacked and you'll get chicks. Since being on TRT it has 100% improved my overall quality of life and I don't regret it one bit.
Please don't try to school my on the negative side effects or an uneducated opinion. I have been actively weight training for years prior to TRT. Eat a fairly balanced diet, meal prep my foods, monitor calorie intake, run diets between carb cycling, intermittent fasting, bodybuilding style workouts 4 days a week with cardio sessions in between. I would advise anyone against doing it for the wrong reasons and even more so if you're going to be a pussy and not willing to put in the work. My energy levels feel like how I did when I was in my 20's, jacked with a stiff dick at full salute. Just sharing my experience, research, research, and make your own informative decisions, this is my way.

I had all the signs, I just did not listen to them until that faithful day. Luckily part of our coaching staff were ER Nurses and a parent of our players was a Critical Care and ICU nurse for years, she recognized my issues right on the court while coaching our match. Next thing I remember was I was on the Gym Floor, looking up at people. They gave me the care I needed, spent a few weeks in the Hospital, then it took me 2-3 years to recover. Changed my habits, cared for my stress better, ate very healthy bc my 2 older daughters were Vegetarians so I went that route and lost the needed weight, and changed my workout towards that mentality. It was tough, I needed to relearn to walk, talk, and even think just like a baby. Yeah, it was scary, my Dr. Who was my classmate gave me a shot between the eyes, changing or not being alive in 2-3 years because of bad health and decisions. Fear of death, not being around for your kids and ohana, and as Dad said, your kid should not pass before your parents. If that does not scare you, then I do not know what will? My good friend passed last year from his stroke, similar lifestyle, but he was single, lived alone, big Vegas braddah, sad because they found him because of a wellness check, 4 days later bc he did not report for work. Again, one less for our Super Bowl Vegas trip. Take care braddahs, you never know. OH BTW, I am one of those who intakes various teas and juices (I make and juice my own everything) containing Shilajit, Different Mushrooms, and herbs including Turmeric and peppers. It helps. Glad you got it figured out, hopefully no long term consequences. Bell's palsy symptoms usually only facial might have some slurred speech related to the facial paralysis but other than face no much else muscle involvement. Stroke usually if face is unequal, that muscle paralysis usually comes with same side limb involvement, can be arm or leg or both. But also seen stroke with no paralysis of any kine, but with person saying one or two sentences repeatedly or saying sentences that make no sense.

Nobody knows everything about the human body and if they claim they do, more better run fast and far away. It's your okole on the line, not theirs.

Had a doc totally miss the signals of a health issue. I knew something was wrong. Bypassed the doc. Got lab work done and got the tests needed. Yup as suspected something was very wrong. Frankly, if I hadn't pushed, I'd be probably dead today. Fight for yourself is all I can say.

For example: health insurance dictating medical care, human error, burn out with healthcare providers, and much more. So being your own advocate for your own health is worth it.

Eff everybody and get one definitive diagnosis of your self-suspected condition, if any. You know your body and lifestyle best so eff everybody else and be one aggressive advocate for your health. My doctor told me: "You saved your own life."
What I learned along the way may help you one day. Don't ask for a periodic blood test (annual). Demand it. Get a CBC test (complete blood count). Telltale trouble signal is a low red blood cell count. Should be around 13 to 15 ish. Lower means something is amiss. A CEA blood test will hunt for cancer. The lower the number the better. Pre operation mine was an 8. After operation it was a 1 and has stayed there for two years. 1 to 5 is normal range.

I'm NOT a doctor. I'm just offering a review of my own personal experience. I've had three sessions with one of my favorite providers. I've also tested it out on my own, by myself, just to see the effects. The drug is a mixture of three other common ED meds in a custom tailored cocktail, you select which one or combo you prefer on their website. I'm older and while I have no preordained health issues, I've a history of prostrate related issues (genetic). So I definitely need the help and chose accordingly. I've been using a Viagra knock off for years. That is a big help, but until I tried Rugiet, I had no idea what else to do. Viagra works no problem. But it makes my dick feel rock hard and works great while fucking. But it seems to not have as long lasting effect as I'd like. Secondly, my dick feels "rock" hard almost to the point I might actually be missing some feeling in it.
Rugiet as a component (so they advertise) called Apomorphine. It could be utter BS for all I know. But I will say that this stuff has changed my sex experiences immensely, for the better. I would say the 'time" factor is a bit faster, but that isn't crucial. It takes 10-12 minutes to dissolve completely under your tongue. Then they say it takes 15 minutes to feel the drug kicking in. I'll attest to that as all true.
One good thing is it does NOT have to be used on an empty stomach since it is absorbed through the bloodstream.
Back to the Apomorphine. I truly did feel more of a "mood shift" with this stuff. My mind felt more horny as much as my dick. Maybe its just me. But as I was driving to see my date, each time, I was getting hard with the thought of seeing her, before I even got there.
The other drug is Tadalfil, which is the main item in Cialis. So this makes your hard on last longer. Which it did. I felt easily aroused long after our 90 minute session and went back hom. Hours later, getting hard came about without much thought at all, literally.

Its all easy, online, private, not a big deal at all, if you're in good health or no problem with lying about your bad health (ha ha ha ha). [/QUOTE]I tried it a while back. They ship it in a temperature controlled package, so if you don't put it in a cold place it will be a melted wreck. I was not impressed with the Apomorphine bit. I've had better sessions with with a THC edible or even a Delta 8 gummy (though to a much lesser degree).

I take it whole tablet and never tried cutting it into smaller pieces. It's square in shape similar to a Starburst so I suppose you can cut into two pieces. If you do get a prescription, don't leave it out as it could melt. I store mine in the refrigerator. Expiration date is about months.
