[quote]ANDERSON — Two women who work at Anderson County spas have been charged with offering sex acts to undercover officers.
They are [blue][Personal Name deleted by Admin][/blue], an employee of Bella Spa in Anderson, and [blue][Personal Name deleted by Admin][/blue], an employee of Spring Sauna Spa in Pendleton.
XXXXXXX, 54, and XXXXXXX 42, were arrested during an undercover operation that involved members of the Anderson County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit and the gang unit. An undercover police officer was also part of the investigation.
Sheriff's spokesman Chad McBride said an investigation began about two weeks ago, after officers received several complaints of illegal activities occurring at both businesses.
In each case, an undercover officer was provided marked cash from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office and went to each spa to get a massage.
An officer went to Bella Spa first.
'During the course of the massage, the undercover police officer was offered a sexual act in exchange for more money, ' says a report from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. 'This incident was monitored by an audio and / or visual device. '
The same thing happened at Spring Sauna Spa, according to a report from the sheriff's office.
The report indicates that the woman involved in that case, XXXXXXX, had trouble understanding English.
'Due to the language barrier, a search warrant was obtained for the incident location, ' says a report from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. 'All items of evidentiary value (were) photographed in place prior to being collected. '
The search warrant was not available.
In the officer's report, XXXXXXX address was given as the same as that of Bella Spa. McBride said officers also believe she has an address in Atlanta.
XXXXXXX address is listed as Flushing, N. Y.
It is not clear how long the women have been in Anderson. McBride said the women do not appear to be related.
McBride said there may be other arrests made in connection with the investigation.
'Hopefully, we won't make any more at these two businesses, ' he said.
The women have both been released from the Anderson County jail on personal recognizance bonds of less than $500.[/quote]Everyone look out.
