1) Read the thread for whatever style fits you (SWs, AMPs, BP, etc) for at least 3-months back or further. There is a lot of info here that can save you time and effort. In fact, I believe the lady one inquired about had comments posted about her less than a week ago.

2) If you expect something from the board, give something to the board. Many of the experienced Sr members here have backed off posting because they get little in return. Lots of lurkers here and tire kickers. I know this for a fact as Admin tell me lurkers WAY out number the contributors. I also know from personal experience that dudes will ask for info on a girl then just waste her time or if they see her, not even reply with a review or a private mail that says "thanks for the tip, I had fun. " So one may find they will build some credibility by "taking on for the team" (TOFTT) and posting about it. I built cred when I was brand new, just by doing the "homework" and asking questions on technique, etc. Not all that hard, it just takes a bit of effort.

3) I strongly suggest, if BP is where one is fishing, that you take time to learn a few of the "Rules" that apply to that game. READ the entire thread here:
