Is it possible that some of the people in the raid might have also been undercover customers at the club and thus intent on protecting their identify so they can go back to being an undercover customer? Or is there a more reasonable explanation for wearing a ski mask in the middle of July?

In either case, it seems like a waste of police resources and tax payer money if the focus is on arresting consenting adults in the VIP area (even if money is involved). If the focus is on drugs or other illegal activities, well that might be more understandable.

In cities where there is some vice, they look to make money off it. Strip club raids in Detroit are mostly to enforce dance card rules. If they happen to get someone in the VIP it's a bonus. In other cities, like Hazel Park, Livonia, Redford, Warren, etc. , the focus is on traffic tickets.

The stage issue you experienced is typical of new dancers' behavior. Have seen it before several times, whenever there is a big turnover; here and elsewhere. Whenever I can't seem to get a dancer's attention, I ask the waitress to send her over. Concerning the girl who sat a booth away, but never visited: you can be sure that she is new, shy, and not likely providing extras (assuming you wanted extras).

I don't work for the club, but I would suggest you give them a month, then check back. That usually allows time for the newbies to learn the ropes, and for management to see a dip in revenue. Those two things combined should loosen things up.

Those "new ones" will either learn the ropes or will not be employed at the clubs for long, esp when they do not offer extras. Of course, every girl has a price, old or new.

Visited these clubs for a Friday afternoon attitude adjustment with a friend (Jrock95).
