Second stop of the night for my buddy's birthday and I have nothing to report about SKIN on Adamo.
We went there second sicne they advertised the Official Van Halen After party.
With less then 10 cars in the parking lot and NO one in line outside this after party was no party.
So we left withotu venturing iun as my buddy remembered Deja Vu down the road.
they are open til 6am on Fri/Sat night and 3am on Sun-Thurs
Finally we hit up Deja Vu Showgirls on Adamo.
This place is a franchise but since I had a good time in Seattle at one years ago I felt like we might be in luck.
Club is kind of small but the music is good and the place was pretty packed.
No sooner then we sat down were our laps being warmed by a cute girl asking to give us a tour of the VIP section (since they don't do tableside dances. Even though the sign out fornt says so)
The price was consistent with Emperor with $50 VIP for 15 minutes, $100 for 30 minutes and I think $400 on hour.
We got VIP bands from the manager after some small talk about visiting from out of town for first time, that got us unlimited nonalcohol draft drinks (water / soda)
Entry fee was only $7 sicne we got the VIP (usual was $17).
After about 30 minutes the manager (who picks up the mic every once in a while in an entertaining way) brought my buddy a slim brunette hottie and while on the spot he headed to the backa nd I didn't see him for 30 minutes plus.
During that 30 minutes I was doing my usual thing and trying to pick out which girl I wanted to take to VIP, but I started to feel a bit ill. Nothing against the palce, jsut some bad pizza from earlier in the night.
By then I was not feeling like getting dance for myself so we got out of there before I got to have my fun.
But I am pretty sure thati woudl not ahve had much fun in the VIP with very mild food poisoning kicking in. LOL I'm sure the dancer would not have enjoyed it either.
In short, next trip to tampa, Deja Vu is definitely on the block for revist.

Stopped by for a quick look Wednesday. Was looking for Cierra but didn't hear anyone called by that name. Had a short dance with a hardbody latina. Forgot her name. She took jr out but didn't do much of anything with it. Seemed a bit timid to get going. Just then the floor guy walked through the room to check on things. Good thing her back was to him and she was straddling me but "pushed back" a bit at the time. So I cut it short. Had to get back. Will have more time in a month or so to check out the other talent. But seems like 2 floor guys checking a lot more than they ever have. That seem right to anyone else?

It is even worse on the weekends. Big reason that I don't visit any more. I am thinking that it probably even pick up as the time for the convention draws near.

It used to be that they would check every 15 mins at most, but now it's like every 2 minutes and it's not for show anymore. I noticed that for a month now, so not sure what's up with that. Perhaps in prep for the GOP visit?

I don't know who or what has spooked them but it has been then way ever since Buckhorn was elected mayor. Maybe they are afraid of him for some reason. Who knows. From my perspective, it is a waste of time to go there now and has been for some time. Things seem to be more fun over in Pinellas County now.
Pinellas county has gone back to pasties and most clubs have removed the curtains from the rooms. You can still get a pleasant visit from a few of the girls at Atlantis and even Oz but it is not as relaxed as it used to be. I would not be surprised to see a raid at a couple of places this summer as they get ready for the convention. Nothing like having Geraldo Rivera in your face with a microphone asking stupid questions when your zipper is stuck.
Hope things will get back to normal in the fall. It is sad. The economy sucks because of the lousy politicians we have in power, and just when the girls are beginning to relax and make some money at the clubs to feed their kids and help get them over the rough times, the local guys clamp down on them just to be 100% sure they have to go on welfare.
In it's place we get this; Charlotte's Gentleman's Club "A step above the rest"
What it will be no one can say for sure. But, Foxy's was know for rules, rules, rules. Not something I look for in a strip club. Sure the girls were young and cute, (some of them) but, once a girl was standing by my stool, I turned sideways to talk with her, I had my hand on her ass. (She had bikini bottoms on) A bouncer told me to remove my hand or hit the door. WTF? That may have been my last visit. It's a wonder anybody went there.
So let's see what goes in, my guess will be a non nude club, I'm sure if it is a chain they will open with out of town girls. Looks like it will open in June.

Unfortunately, this dude is taking his job too seriously as he kept on checking the rooms every other song tonight, even if there was nobody in the room. This guy is the new peeping Don, make sure you don't go when he is working, as you'll not get any privacy for your dances.
