2 friends of mine got caught in a police sting a back in may. One lives up in Idaho and they both went to their court date the last week in June. When they got to court they were told

There case wasn't on the agenda. Sucked to be the guy from Idaho as he drove over 500 miles back to vegas for this court appearence and they didn't care and told both they would.

Be notified by mail when their court date will be.

So they both hired attorney joel mann $1000. 00 each and mann told them that it could take up to a year for their court date. First offence possible fine 300. 00 and aids class. The attorney makes the most money.

Not certain what the fine is. But delay in the case might work in their favor. If you draw out a case then the the might lose interest. Your friends might want to ask for a trial and see if the the simply drops the case. In many cases the prosecutor does not want to wast time and money on a trial for a misdemeanor. If their attorney files a bunch of motions the prosecutor might also drop the case.
