The commercial leases in shopping centers have gone up in price dramatically. I try to get to know "The Boss" at places that I go frequently. They are all complaining about sharp increases when the lease renews. One shop, in a very average older shopping center, has increased rents from around $ 1800 to more than $4500 in just 5 years. Part of the increase is due to increases from local management fees that are added to the base rent charges.

Every shop owner I know is upset about what inflation is doing to their businesses. I'm not surprised that these places have become more aggressive about tips because they need to remain competitive on their base prices to get us to come in.

I negotiate to what I consider to be fair. I also want proper service so I'm paying a little more than what was normal.

However, part of the problem is that the overall level of service has dropped while the pricing has gone up. We all understand the effects of inflation on our daily essentials such as food and rent. Where I have an issue is when you pay the higher rates and then receive a much lower level of service. At some point "go without" is better than leaving frustrated after paying a significant amount of $$.

Men see pros for a reason. When they are given the choice of rejection or a high price, you can't fault some of them for paying the high price. You may prefer rejection, some don't. This forum is not the place for insults over others' unwillingness to choose rejection.

Also, don't wait for others to keep sharing. It's a two way street. If you're continuing to pay high prices for mediocre service then you're part of the problem.

Had a dream the other night that I went for a massage at Rose. Had a great time with Eva. Great body and nice bolt-ons. I prefer natural but these weren't bad. She is currently in NYC studying for her license. She had attempted a few years back to work in a spa closer to me -- first in and. Miami and then to Oceanside (same owner).
