However anyone interprets the "purpose" of this Forum is his own opinion. You can interpret it your way and I will interpret it my way. It has been known to happen. I can be open-minded when warranted. Some SWs are almost immediate pick-up decisions. The sourness of your first and closing lines were REAL encouragements for me to listen to your suggestion with an open mind.

You are correct about the photo index. It was a very useful thread. I have commented on several occasions that I wished there was a way to revive it and keep it up-to-date. It is still a mystery to me why it was closed.The photo index had some specialized features which made it very handy to keep current. One was that it wasn't limited to a 24 hour window for editing as is the case with other regular postings.

However, if you have such a hard on for alphabetizing either my or everyone's photos why don't YOU do it? I am not your employee to do your bidding in this regard, most especially since your suggestion was SO nicely put to me. :D

In the meantime, if I want to hold a contest for my 4000th pic anniversary, I will do so. I don't require or seek permission from you to have one, or advice on the manner in which I choose to do it. If I want to list the choices in reverse chronological order and pick and choose which ones to include in the lineup, then I will do so. If I choose later to do an alphabetical list of my pics and/or reports I will do that as well. Yours was not a bad thought, and I may have even considered it seriously for this contest in another life, but I would suggest a better sales approach if you seek to have an idea willingly adopted as opposed to stuffing it down someone's throat while insulting his alleged motivations. If you want to have your own pic contest, and set up your own format, then, by all means, feel free to do so. You won't get any gripes from me. Oh, that's right. You don't have any pics posted.
