You just have to text that number and ask to be screened. They'll prompt you (if you get a response) for what they require. Provide what they want or ask what other options are available. Some bookers may take personal info in lieu of references. Texting after 10 am is best. Know what you're willing to disclose beforehand to not waste both of you and the booker's time. Don't be discouraged if you get the cold shoulder, it happens. Best of luck.
