If you ask too many questions the provider may hang up on you. In my opinion those are the smart ones. They have the same concerns that you do about a person not being who they say they are. Unfortunately sometimes getting short changed is part of this hobby of ours. Besides, a provider can tell you anything you want to hear. An unscrupulous one will agree to anything to get your money. What are you going to do if she doesn't follow thru? You might have to fight her and her pimp to get your money back.

It's still exciting to see an unknown provider occasionally even though the odds are not great that it will turn out the way I would like. I do my research to try to stay away from obvious trouble, but if a provider is unknown there is no way to know what you will really get.

As long as you do not offer someone cash for sexual favors you should be fine. But on the flip side I'm sure the girl will be just as careful that she won't be caught soliciting also.

In my previous response I was just addressing the part about asking about specific services. I do ask what her rates are because that's all I'm going to take in the room with me. I even ask rates if it is a provider who was discussed on the forum and rates were listed by a reviewer. Rates can change, so I like to clarify that part of the deal over the phone.

First, in my experience less than 50% of SW have a working phone. Second, do you want a SW you aren't interested in even having your number? Some of them will call multiple times a day looking for work or whatever. If it is a sting you are just setting yourself up by negotiating on the phone. Have you had this technique actually work out for you? In my opinion, the riskiest part of the SW game is the scoop. You are doubling your scoops with a first stop to exchange numbers and a second for pickup with you potentially hovering around in a high risk area waiting while you both talk on the phone. The whole scenario will appear highly suspicious if uncle LEO is cruising around. Granted, I have also had to pay to get someone out of my car but I would rather do that once in a while after making a scoop and heading to the quiet side streets to talk than to hang out exposed in the wrong area longer than necessary.

They are all important, but I think other than keeping your wallet and valuables out of reach the next important may be never talk to a SW until she gets into the car and you have driven away. I agree with Jack that I don't see much gain from your method and I see lots of potential downside. I just don't like them in my car unless we have an agreement and I at least get a chance to see them up close. Sometimes those trannys are in your car faster than a SW picking up a 20. Then the problem lies in getting them out. There is risks in whatever we do. I just want to minimize the risks. They may call once or twice but when I don't answer, they move on. I would agree that many don't have a working phone or at least say they don't. But there are free government phones available to low income people so when they say they don't have a phone, is it because they really don't or is it just because of other reasons.

Is one way better than another? I think this is all about sharing opinions as to what is best for us based on our preferences and past personal experience. The 22 rules that Lonlyguy so kindly pointed out are nice and good guides but it still comes down to doing what is best and safe in each given situation.

However, when you did get in to see her, the trip more than made up for all of the BS that came first. She said she now prefers 24-hour notice otherwise she needs at least 3-4 hours to get ready. She also expects you to get a room and it sounds like would like it if she could then use it when you are done. When I would see her earlier this summer she had a room already and setting up a time was relatively easy, now it's a major task. She is very enthusiastic and provides GFE so at least there is a reward for the difficulty in seeing her.

She also told me "Since I don't take clients like I used to, my rates have gone up to make it worth my while as well as yours". I love the logic that raising her rates will make it more worth my while.

Of course you run the risk of a no show, but as long as she prefers 24 hr notice. She might be less prone to no show. You might get away with it once and if she books appointments thinking she has the room, there might be some ill feelings. Dare I say.
