Amber has returned to her home
She left Sunday. I'm not going to post the details here without her permission. I will say that it has absolutely nothing to do with LE and its was completely her decision. I'll also say that it appears to be a good move on her part.
She will be missed in a very big way.
Just noticed Amber had a new local number and texted her today. She replied saying she is not in Knoxville anymore and is not returning! WTF? She was great and I sure will miss her. Anyone else have any details? She will be hard to replace.
Not to put too fine a point on it . . .
. . . but I recently suggested to someone that the State of Tennessee might have to apply for a federal grant to add an Amber Exit Lane on I-40. So I guess she's saved the taxpayers that expense.
I don't remember anybody ever creating anything close to the stir that Amber the Hooters Girl created when she first hit the Knoxville scene. And on top of all of that, she's quite a girl. I wish her the very best.
Was great while it lasted!

Maybe she did just burn out. Hope the best for her.
Not too surprised, really

Hope the best for her.
We are all feeling a little sad for ourselves, but after seeing Amber a few weeks ago, I am really not surprised, and also wish her the best. Taking some of what she said at face value (I hate to but must discount the flattering things she said about my sense of humor and sexual skills, LOL) she was in town because of circumstances that had changed, and had no reason to hang around. She was exceptionally sweet, but it seemed to me had probably found herself in the "too much too fast" lane, and I commented here at the time that I hoped she was not going to burn out. I hope she saved some serious coin and has good things ahead for herself.
They come and they go, and as long as they are around we get the benefits. Like Barbie, it was not surprising to see her disappear. They're both young, and probably neither of them ever envisioned escorting as a long term career. I also won't be surprised to see either of them back at some point, though. Once it is in their blood and all that.
Alexis: Long may she Reign!

And while I only had the pleasure of meeting Amber, I saw the real sense of nostalgia for the former providers in your posts. We have also seen some former favs taken down or greatly diminished by drama. The names need not be repeated.
What I have taken from this after giving it some thought, is that I am going to appreciate what we have while we have it. While many of these ladies, to steal a line from an earlier post "burned twice as bright for half as long" and some make mistakes that cannot be overcome; one lady comes to mind who has been there for us for a long time, providing stellar quality dreaming with little or no drama. That lady is ALEXIS! Somehow for me she has managed to burn almost twice as bright for more than twice as long and that my friends is saying something. Like everyone else I was drawn like a moth to the Flame of Amber and I am sure I would have done the same with Barbie and others, but I always seem to return to Alexis. She has endured viscious mud slinging, slow times while we made our rounds to the flavors of the month, and the general perils of being a provider. All with professionalism and dare I say class.
So I leave you with this admonition, appreciate what we have while we have it, for mark my words, someday when you least expect it (Hopefully not to soon) Alexis to will be gone and somehow just like her stay with us has been long and pleasurable, her absence will most likely be permanent and painful!

Where to travel. Or, is there a 1995 Nashville out there?
I loved Nashville of the 1980s-1999. It was as much fun as any city I traveled to in the eastern US, and I have been to many cities and many clubs. Obviously those days with the numerous "facilities" with the street signs are gone. Are there any cities out there in the US that come close to the old Nashville. Tampa used to be pretty good, but it has changed also. About the only city I could really recommend is Niagara on the Canadian side. Any suggestions?
