Also you can spot a working girl at the slots because after each hand or so, they look around to check people out; they're there for a different type of action, not to play the slots. I agree. No way in hell I'd stay at Excaliber. The only place worse on the strip is Circus Circus. The cost for parking will be $8 to $10 per day. This is a pretty shitty thing to do to your guest in my opinion. That plus the resort fees are getting to be a real turn off for me. I hope this hurts their business. If you are a local and have a valid Nevada drivers license, you won't have to pay so they are sticking it to their hotel guest. They say the reason for this is to modernize and expand parking. I think they should share the cost amongst all casino guest. Its hard to believe they would stick the people staying at their hotel with these costs. Once they complete all of their projects I'd bet the house those fees will remain. I really enjoy having a car when visiting Vegas but will reconsider now. Last visit I stayed in Flamingo and the parking sucked. The main reason for that is that they reserve the vast majority of their garage to valet and guest of the time share. 90 % of the stupid lot is empty and nearly impossible to park there. This was enough to make me not want to stay there anymore.

Who uses that shit anyway.

I do like staying at the Flamingo though. Always a comp room and nice central location. Always CGs too but not necessarily quality unless you're into bcg. But never failed to see a diamond in the rough on the stroll between Harrahs and Paris even during an early breakfast.

That way they break it down for you so it looks like you're getting the room for cheap but they come back and hit you with the crappy resort fee.

However, I find great value in it. 5 star resorts and great restaurants and entertainment. Beautiful women everywhere. 8 and 9 are a dime a dozen in Vegas!

Logistics for picking up and walking up to your room might be a challenge, but if your an outcall person or don't mind driving back to your room with something you may have scooped up on the strip then M Resort with "no resort fee" is for you. Great rooms, clean, well maintained and if you stay a few days the savings from no resorrt fees can buy you a higher quality piece of ass.

Hope the parking fee doesn't become a norm in vegas too. I read on another forum that at some hotels you can do the $20 trick to have them waive the fee. But I tried it at the Wynn and they said they couldn't, I did get an upgraded view tho. I also saw a "special" browsing the Cosmopolitan site (I've never stayed there) guess its like a promo, where they'll wave the resort free and give free coffee in the mornings. Its called the "Worship the Grounds You Walk ON" promo if that helps anyone / if anyones curious.

Elara is a 5 star resort right on the strip with no resort fees. You can get a room there on a weekday for 120 or so per night, 170 range for a suite, of course you will pay more than twice that much on the weekend. Before I moved to Vegas, I would stay someplace nice like Elara during the week, do some outcalls and then if I was going to stay through the weekend, I'd stay someplace away from the strip like a Hampton Inn or Doubletree and hang out, not necessarily looking to see anyone, hopefully by then I will have seen 3 girls. Some of them are actually very, very nice. There's a nice Hampton on the South side of the airport that has nice jr suites for about 100/ night on the weekends. Everybody wants to stay on the strip but most other areas of Vegas are just a 10-15 minute drive. I also visited Vegas lots of times from Sun-Thurs, saved a shitload of money and still had fun. People don't realize that you can have a blast in Vegas during the week too.

I like Sunday-Thursday for a lot of things in Vegas but imo CG's are not one of those things. The scene is way better on Friday and Saturday nights.

I almost never stay on the strip anymore. Although resort fees aren't limited to the strip properties. Next month I'm staying at the Flamingo for various reasons. Not really looking forward to it but it's only 4 nights and then we're staying off strip the next 3 nights.

I've seen Sunday nights go dead even on holiday weekends especially at the hotels towards both ends of the Strip.

Last year I hardly got any decent offers so I stayed at Flamingo. I joined both M Life (MGM Properties) and Total Rewards (Caesars Properties). Present those cards when you gamble or play slots. This year I have been getting a lot of good offers from Bellagio possibly because I've stayed there a few times in the past. A good price for them is $120 per night or less. I've seen as low as $89 per night plus $50-$100 dining vouchers. I doubt I would go back to Flamingo but they do have upgraded rooms now with empty (non stocked) dorm sized refrigerators. I always buy my beer and a styrofoam cooler off strip but can't help to feel a bit of a low life when carrying it through Bellagio. Who wants to spend $7 on 12 ounces of budweiser or whatever crap they sell in the gift shops there?

Maybe it's because they come out earlier. On weekends they are out really late. Both times still work though. Love the contrasting opinions. FYI they are out all nights just got to time it right. And there are dead weeks.
