Fortunately I live in MA and am willing to drive the extra 20 minutes to go to Boston. I'm an out of towner that was in providence for a night, and was surprised at the action (which was ok but not great), but which I'd heard was dead.
The start of the action seemed to be at the 7 Eleven in Cranston at the intersection of Huntington. Then it would probably go about a mile north from there. I probably saw 4 or 5 SW between midnight and 2, and they were all different.
