I had a lovely dream of Candice this evening. She was able to accommodate me late in the evening on short notice for 30 minutes of fun and frolic. Some of us are a very soft touch when it comes to such a request, so we acquiesse and advance $$ thinking that the lady just needs some help. Of course she does, but there is no better way to screw up a good situation and relationship than to advance p4p. This changes the entire dynamic of the exchange, now there is accounting (debit and credit) interpretation by each party involved; not good. I learned this the hard way with a partner with almost a 20 yr track record of exchange of p4p between us. The minute that she was X amount ahead of me in the accounting dept then things were f'd up. So it took for me to eventually and essentially 'write off', or forgive the amount of advance for things to get back on track of equitable p4p. So I learned that if you can de-stabilize a nearly 20 yr p4p gig over a hundred bucks, or a little more, that it is a really BAD idea. But many of us still think that it will be different with us, that it won't go down this way; but the only way to avoid the demise of an otherwise good exchange is to keep the accounting on a cash for goods basis, real time only.

Soon he becomes Mr. Go To Guy for every emergency. Soon he becomes Mr. Direct Dial with his number is in her system. Running in the background he never knows what the money is really for. If he did he wouldn't give it to her for THAT. In no time a good P4P arrangement is spoiled for good. The only way to deal with this stuation is to not respond to the request.

Most of us have been "sucked" into falling for the extra cash stories, including me. So, I decided to turn the tables. In the spirit of a curbside Psychology case study.
There are two ladies that I have shared time with, and given more, on occasion (with no expectation of a return on investment). Both are awesome playmates and a bit of a friendship may have evolved over time. Anyway.
So, I decided to see how it would work for them and see if there was any reciprocity, by flipping the scenerio. Each had contacted me, via text, for some playtime. My response was that I was broke until payday. But, if they still wanted to play. I would share more than our arrangement on payday. Play now-pay more, later. The response? No return text.
Heck! I was willing to pay interest on the loan! LOL.
So, you see? It is a P4P real-time game. If you think there is a return on any investment other than real time. It will always be an illusion, and it will always end the same.
