Visited midori few nights ago. Was met by a very overweight lady. No shower offer and refused to tell me her name. Massage was TERRIBLE. She was too rough and instead of massaging my temples of head, she used her large rough hands and rubbed my face really hard for about 3 minutes. Same with the rest of the body. If that's who you get... i'd suggest you either turn away or ask for someone else. She told me that there wasn't anybody else.

Here's my take on the spa situation lately: most of these girls work on a circuit, and I'm guessing word has gotten out to the circuit that Metro Atlanta isn't worth bothering with... so good talent isn't coming here.
The big exception (as long as it lasts) is of course Gold, but they have their own source of girls.
I'm betting all the AMP action has gone to apartments by 2010.

I agree with you Ozzi, but which city is worth visiting these days. The AMP women are hurting all over. The economy is in the crapper everywhere.
Anybody care to do a quick rundown of full names of places mentioned often here (Gold, Midori ..) and where they're located? I'm a former southside AMP enthusiast still hurting from the Clayton crackdown and trying to get a lay of the land elsewhere in Atlanta.

Totally agree the economy is in the crapper. There are fewer of us (paying customers) and more of them (working women who need money). Just a thought, but we should all feel free to bargain harder. The supply/demand curve is definitely in our favor, so you should demand more and get more while paying less. Just my $0.01. It used to be my $0.02, but, well, you get the point.

Usually went to Royal or Ocean for stress relief but....as everyone knows, they're closed.
Thought I'd venture out and try new spas so I went to midori around 6pm and rang the bell. The mamasan came to the window I told her I was there for a massage. She told me that she has no young cute girls giving massages and asked me to try another time. I appreciated her telling me that, especially after Darmour88's report.
Then headed over to Lee's spa off Jimmy Carter in Norcross, rang the bell and was greeted by an overweight black receptionist (at least I hope she was a receptionist and not a provider). Told her I was there for a massage and she told me I had to wait about an hour b/c someone was already inside. I asked her if there was only one girl working and she said, "yes there's only one today".
Then got a call from my SO to come home early so I just called it a night.
Any recommendations for a half way decent massage by a half way decent looking provider around the doraville/norcross/duluth area?
Maybe I'll try again tomorrow, or try out the BMP's in the Sandy Springs apts.

Based on the reports here, it looks like people have been bargaining and haggling the hell out of these girls before the economy went completely down the shitter. I believe the gentleman is corrrect - The unwillingness of Atlanta hobbyists to pay well has caused a dearth of Asian talent here. Hell, unwillingness is putting it lightly. I'm sure you've seen people on here pontificating about how spoiled and rich the girls are and how it's their sworn duty to withhold as much money from them as possible. LOL.
Illegal enterprises tend to be relatively recession-proof anyway. It's not the economy.

I agree, the supply/demand curve now favors hobbyist. We have many more civilian women entering the business everyday due to the bad economy. I never haggle....I just visit providers within my price range.

Recommendations are kind of pointless because everyone has different tastes and the girls circulate pretty rapidly.
Nice thing about Gold is that the management (Mi Lee at least) are good at steering you in the right direction, especially once they know you. Also, they do let you see a big line-up... if they don't have a specific rec, I just go for the body type I like who is actually smiling and making eye contact.
They have very hot girls!

Went to Evergreen thought I'd TOFTT the other night was met by mamsan who took me to room and told me it was 40 for half hr. Mamsan is the one who gave me the TS she put a towel over my private so I knew this wasn't gonna be a good experience. So after the TS she takes me back to the room where I wait 15 minutes before mamsan comes in and gives me the massage. That mamasan at Midori was telling the truth. I went today at 11:30 a.m. and was shown to a room. A moment later, an older, non-cute woman came in and tried (unsuccessfully) to get me to stay. I asked for Jade and the woman said she wouldn't be returning for a month. I said I'd come back then. She said, with surprise in her voice, "You can wait a whole month?" Well, no. But I can wait until I find something I like before plunking down my money.

Sorry to hear your experience TOFTT was not that great but good to hear about Evergreen nonetheless. Haven't been there for quite a while but you really should be a litte more assertive as far as asking for extras. The old 'college try' is really a miminum at AMPs. They exist to take your money so you lose nothing by asking for what you want. The least they can do is refuse and you already spent your gas and time anyway, right? With Royal closed and Midori taking the right wing, seems other AMPs are running scared now. Anyone tried Phileo lately?

CH[/QUOTE]Funny how you say that CH. I actually called Midori today and asked if any girls came in and the mamasan honestly told me that they had only 1 older lady working and try back in about a month. Didn't ask for specifics of why, but maybe its b/c of the holidays or uncle LEO.

I never asked her if she worked at Ocean, but it may be the same one that was there for a week or two a month or so ago. She had a small tattoo on her right back shoulder if anyone wants to know. Looked like she was in her early thirties. As a reference on looks, I'd rate jasmine from royal a 5.
