When something comes up smelling a little fishy, we investigate and question. Most providers on BP don't delete their old ads. The new ads usually link to the old ads. So yes, a post that links to no old ads, and appears to have been posted AFTER the date suggested by the poster is questionable. Especially coming from a poster with 5 posts at the time. And then another poster who rarely posts on this board chimes in to back up the original poster. Color me not convinced. Actually this is not accurate. As a daily backpage advertiser I can tell you, the links in the ad do NOT POINT to older ads. They point to DIFFERENT ads by the same account. So if that account puts up ads for several girls they will all be linked at the bottom or if the person changes the wording in the ad, it will be different and you will have a link.

If the Advertiser reposts daily (for 1.00), the ad is moved to the top of the listing, new date and time stamp, you will not find the old on on the previous day because it has been moved to the TOP. NO LINK. Or if they use the FREE Backpage auto repost (which repeats the ad every 3 days for no charge), the ad is moved to the top automatically you will not see it on the previous days and there will be No Link.

Links in the ads are only if different ads are posted by 1 account.
Here is an example pull up most of the massage ads from BP (not body rub or escort) [url]http://washingtondc.backpage.com/TherapeuticMassage/[/url] and you will see they are only advertising every day for themselves. Unless 1 person owns multiple spas(there may be 1 or 2).

As for the spas that post the same ad multiple times on BP they are using different accounts to get around Bp moving the single ad to the top. So you may see the same ad 2-3 times in a row, that person used 3 different accounts(email addresses to create BP accounts to advertise). NO links in any of the ads. Sponsered accounts are handled a little differently too. Some advertisers have accounts for each day of the week, so their ads will appear many times as you scroll down the pages.

Compare this with the escorts who post different ads every couple hours trying to catch your attention.

So Hoardingordon is correct, the ad can appear to be brand NEW the day or several days after someone has reviewed them. And as for Baltimoronic, he should understand how BP works before he makes any assumptions or accusations.
