If this is redhead (sort of red anyway) Nicole, short, freckels, curley hair and in a rush with everything then yes I know her. She is OK, that's as far as I will go. Have had decent dates with her but she does complain A LOT as you noted. But she will do the deed just don't take any shit off of her and you will be fine. I guess it was last summer when there was a discussion on this board about what to do in the event of a police stop off the K. My knowledgeable advice was to admit to nothing. Luckily I heed my own advice, since I was coming home from Northern Libs last night and mysteriously found myself driving around near the K. When the cop turned off the Ave, I went a block or two up and came around, at which point the same cop ended up in back of me and pulled me over. I didn't have anyone in the car, other than Jack Daniels, which was probably oozing out of every pore in my body. I didn't realize I had a headlight out and that's why I was stopped, although the cop read me the riot act about how I was driving in a high drug/prostitution area. I said nothing, except to express my genuine surprise that my headlight was out. He tried to get me to admit that I was up to no good and questioned why I was down there. I told him I was heading home and that I hadn't been doing anything unlawful. That was more or less true, although I question if I would've passed sobriety testing.
My advice to shut the fuck up remains valid. I admitted nothing and therefore didn't get the obstructing the highway citation, just one for the lights which is nothing more than a nuisance. All this just goes to show how little it takes to run afoul of the law these days, so be careful out there.
It sounds like very good reasonable advice. I had a similar experience, but admit nothing, also try to check all light before you head out. If you had a drink carry strong mints with you, just glad the cop wasn't out to get you on a DUI. Be safe! Thanks again for the reminder!
It's amazing what people will tell the police when they don't need to tell them anything. ALWAYS be polite and say as little as possible.
Also, make sure you're completely legal out there! I got pulled over for supposedly running a red light. It was green when I entered the intersection but not went I left it, which isn't surprising since the diagonal layout of those streets make some intersections enormous. The cop also wrote me up for no seatbelt which was of course ridiculous since I ALWAYS wear it and have for over 20 years..I feel naked without it. It was a gotcha ticket, written just because she could. The 2nd crime (on their part, not mine), was that when you go to court, you can't fight it! You go to a sort of pre-court or, as I call it, court-lite, to SCHEDULE a court date if you want to fight it. Therefore, you have to go to court twice in order to fight a ticket. Not surprising that they can write you up for anything they want, confident that it will be very difficult for you to contest it. Presumably, since fewer people fight tickets, the cop is called off duty to testi-lie (as the police themselves call it) on fewer occasions so they probably will show up if you have the stamina to contest the ticket.
Hit the K last nite about 11/12 ran it twice, but for some strange reason the area was really dead, LE presence was normal, but man was it quite out, so I headed over to Camden where as always things were jumping. Well fellow be safe have fun, but most of all watch your back.
