Just as they make vanilla and chocolate ice cream I'm heavily in favor of a provider posting. Several reasons, one being if the service isn't up to par the word will spread quickly, the calls will stop, so will the posts and we all save $$. It's also much safer for them once established, who really wants to walk the streets?
Yes there's always the phone 'out of minutes" problem but as "business picks up" the funds will, or should, be readily availble. :) Leaving a message isn't a big deal, how do you know she isn't frolicing with me and can't answer??? If you don't want/can't leave your number leave a message that you'll call back at a specific time. And you may have to do that several times, as your name states "triesharder"
I've seen other cities on this board where providers post and don't, actually I have never seen any members comlaining.
If you are so busy that the possiblity,albeit doubtful, of going thru twenty ads will be a serious time constraint how do you find time to hobby???? Sounds like the Sally Fields Boniva ad, where her friend has to set aside time each week to take her pill,,,,,,,you're not that busy now are you???;)
I don't mind the girls being on the board and posting that their on the board.
The advertisement should be kept to a real limit as "I'm here and available", no pricing or numbers. If you want that information, then you can PM the girls and get that info on your own volition. We don't want girls handing LEO's too much of their info on here. The girls can read the backlog of posts and know what guys are board regulars and who is safe biz.
I'd love to know available, safe, reliable (As a SW can be) for my own peace of mind and hers. I'm new like a lot of guys here and the action is really slow with crappy weather and a high LE presence. So mine and other s report numbers aren't going anywhere fast and the OLD MONGERS aren't just handing out numbers to us, until we get our report numbers up. So girls on the board will help out the newer mongers.

First tour tonight on Elm reveals major LE presence, even on foot on Carter. I hope that's mainly about drugs. It would be insane if it was for catching SWs. Coming back from Walgreens I found Michelle who, from a distance, looked cute with pointed eyeglasses and a girlish walk, barely glancing at cars. But got the look eventually. Up close in the car not so cute, and as we drove to her suggested area, I began to imagine ways I could ask her to leave without being rude (you never know when you will find a SW with real feelings and no attitude). We stopped in a driveway she suggested and I realized she was going to try the Queenie scam. It was my way out. I gave her a little something and she got out and would be "right back" and so I took off, probably faster than she did, in a different direction. Up close she is late 30's, homely mixed B/H/W I guess, felt like A cups. So, I won't be looking for her again, but if anyone finds her, expect a scam and protect against it (best bet is pass her by). Swung over to Manton and Judy, older HSW took care of my problem for .25. I was with her last winter. Decent job, not exeptional, just gets it done. I prefer my regulars, but I need to hunt sometimes.
Like the rest, I caught Tara's ad as well as the ensuing conversation.
These are my thoughts.
How do we even know if Tara (of Gansett fame) even posted it? Could be LE looking for 200 emails and perhaps 40 phone numbers?
Regarding the placing of advertisements for services, I am also good with it, however, we do have a thread for advertisements. With 0 postings. If you wish to advertise, how about where they ask you to post these?
Lastly, I also sent "Tara" a PM. Not read yet. Supplied her with an email which I check from a wireless access. Must be tough being that busy, especially in the trade she engages in. Kinda makes me wonder.
The more I think about this, I really feel the need to take a ride to Walmart and buy a throw away and a lot of min's for this shit. Paying cash of course. LE is rather insidious and they don't have to catch hundreds of us, just one or two cases in the paper have a dampening effect on mongering.
These are just my thoughts and I agree, why don't more of them advertise (you can register and do it from the library if you have no computer). After all, they certainly have plenty of time. It also makes sense to post a pic as well and don't tell me you don't have a camera. A CVS disposable cost like $5 and you can have the pics developed to a disc for use on the internet.
Anyway. Still waiting to see if "Tara" drops me a note. But. Not holding my breath.

Please excuse us OLD MONGERS for being cautious. You have a total of 9 posts, 6 in RI, 3 in Cleveland. Your first post is dated 3/21, a little over 5 weeks ago. Do you truly expect us to open the vault and flood your mail box with pm's containing names and numbers?
You need to get out, do your thing and post results. Build your post count and credibility over time. We all did. Nothing worth doing in life is easy or free.

I've seen her twice, wandering the lot with her ice coffee. Got the look so she's easy, came over as I was making a call from my office, the phone booth :) offered bj .75, so she's not free.:(
Didn't get her name, said she's there 2-3 times a week but only in good weather, no weekends (must be in the union) and from noonish to 2:30-3. Never later. HTH

Actually I am quite busy, a big problem of mine. Seriously, though, that was not really the issue. I was just worried about this board going downhill. Silly me! Thanks to the ever-mindful moderator and sage seniors, I trust it will not. The truth is that I find the USG to be an extremely valuable resource. I keep pinching myself to see if I am dreaming and hoping it remains vital a long time.

Absolutely. This is why Jackson put classified ads threads in most forums, although he will obviously let the occasional one like Tara C slide.

That Bickfords is a great lunch or dinner place for the ever-so-rare successful strip club TO due to dessert in Motel 6 being only a few parking spaces behind the meal at Bickfords. Otherwise I never go there.

I've studied up and read all the posts and learned the ways of the Mongerer and their status on these boards. I know your status, and I know my status, but thanks for telling everyone mine. Did I complain about the way things are? - No. Did I complain that you older mongers don't give out numbers freely? -No. All I did was state the way things are on the board and always will be, (And that's respected.) and that women on the board would make it easier for newer mongers to hook up safely, especially in these lean times with more LE out. (Try rereading it.)

CM and I both posted about Tara the same day. No "fame" is due me. I made digits availible to Sr members and the number given to me then and one of those she posted are the same. If she's le, she provided the good citizens of Prov excellant service, above and beyond you might say.
She doesn't have a computer but has access to a friends, that's what I was told. How often she can access, I don't know. I don't know if she knows of the pm function. Finally, you can't access this site with a computer in a library due to X filters.
The throw away phone is a great idea, one I've been putting off getting way too long.
Only had time for a quick swing thru O-ville and elmwood yesterday around 2, nothing.

I was in the Bucket on business today and actually saw her standing at the bus stop near 95 across from The Ground Round, may have been waiting for the bus into Prov. as she did not give me a look as I drove by slowly.

Twice this week I have seen a looker WSW obviously working with a pimp standing next to her near the Chavez station on Elmwood. Standing still, looked like obvious sting. I drove by later today and it looked like he was waiting for her to return, can anyone comment?
