They know if you are chasing tail, and will make you pay for it without getting any. My approach works for me as I'm an older guy as perhaps they think I'll settle down or I'm a security blanket. If you read reports by Makana, Hypo Luxa, H Mobius, and some other "older" gentlemen, you will see they get tail without really needing to spend much.
Lunch with one and dinner with another and all I spent was $60 for wine from Costco. Lunch was bi bim bap. LOL.
As for wine, I just go to Costco or Sam's and look at the ratings labels. Other than that, I don't know much about wine.

Perhaps he's got a thing against the French or is a rival of Golden Shower wine. Who knows?
