However, I had come from Coliseum and decided to stop at Players for a bit as it was on my way home, and Coliseum was surprisingly busy with some pretty decent talent for a Sunday night. I was surprised.

So, maybe try Coli instead of Players for a while on Sunday nights.

Club Hustler has had its share of uups and downs lately but I have been going up on Tuesdays as of late. They have a special Tuesday night $2.00 drinks all night. There is a $10.00 cover charge. For those that like dances they do "table" dances on the floor for $10.00, upstairs dances are $25.00.

I had several drinks last night for less than $20.00 I talked up with this ebony dancer with the best ass in the place she wanted $ for CBJ said she didn't do FS and then told me that the room would be $150.00 for 15 minutes. Unless the dancers are getting a significant cut of the 150, then this VIP access charge is way out of line with the other Detroit area strip clubs that typically charge $20 for a VIP access often with no specific time limits.

They will have to get back to prices the other clubs charge.

I suppose that a similar dancer / club split occurs at the longer VIP room rates ($250/ half hour). Presumably the flat fee is just for dances but keep the automatic dancer split in mind if you negotiate for any special services. For example, a $100 dancer tip during a 15 minute VIP session equates to $200 for the dancer and $50 for the club.

I stopped in at Henry's south for a bit last night and it was a disappointment. The talent roster has diminished and it gets more ghetto every time I go in there. In addition, smoke bothers me and the place is incredibly heavy with smoke. Every time I come home, I have to shower and wash my clothes, therefore, there's no way to be discreet about where I've been.

OK, I finally made it in here after hearing a lot of positive things about the place. Went in on a Wednesday afternoon about 5:00.

The good: My first impressions were positive. The parking setup is nice, and free. Walking into the club I was very impressed with the look and feel. It is small, but it looks classy, with nice finishes, comfortable seating, a nice stage right in the middle with high visibility and two girls going at a time. The music is not quite as blaring as a lot of the other clubs.

The Meh: The girls I saw were OK looking, but I wasn't interested in taking any of the ones I saw in back. On average I would give them a 6, and there were about 6 or 7 girls working that I saw. Was approached immediately by an OK looking girl before I even got my first beverage, fortunately she had to hit the stage after a short bit because I wasn't into her at all.

The bad: I'm a wine drinker usually. They offer one red. The worst Cabernet I've ever tasted in my life, and it came from a fresh bottle, didn't see the label. Couldn't even finish the glass.

I'll go back here again to see how the talent varies, mostly because I liked the look and feel of the place enough to want it to be a place I can visit regularly. I won't be drinking wine however. If management is really trying to move upscale, they really need to come up with some better wine options. I don't need a wine cellar offering but damn, get a few bottles of something decent. The swill they served was $8 a glass, I'd happily pay a bit more for something drinkable. Finding and keeping good looking dancers has got to be tough, but it's easy to have a few bottles of decent wine around.

I've been to Bogarts a couple times before, afternoon and night, and I'm not sure why I thought this time would be any different. The place is a dump, most of the girls are hard to look at, waitresses aren't much to look at either (especially during the day shift. Yikes!) The beer is the same or even more expensive than other clubs, it kind of just sucks all around. I was going to say that I'd never go here again, but I can't say for sure. It will definitely go to the bottom of the list with it's sister clubs though.

I wanted to come back to Scores after their official opening, and see if they improved over my earlier visit.

Got there around 5:30, maybe ten guys in the place with about half a dozen dancers, a couple of good looking AA's, around a 7, and several decent white girls, around a 6. None of them were "spinneresque," but none were overly large either. Bartender and staff was friendly, club is very nice but IMO it's too dark. I talked to a few dancers there who were honestly unsure about staying at Scores because it wasn't bringing in enough customers to make it worth their time, and of course as a customer I don't want to go there if there aren't any attractive dancers. I just don't see management making the kind of extraordinary effort they should to get customers to make return visits and say nice things about the place. The food is good, but it's really not much better than Coli or Player's, and it's more expensive. The drinks are more expensive than Coli and Player's, and I can't tell you how many times I've had bartenders, bouncers and managers greet me, shake my hand, buy me drinks, and in general just fawn all over me at Coli and Players. The staff at Score's is polite, but they ain't working it for sure. And it definitely wouldn't hurt for them to lower prices. They're acting like they're already the "King of the Strip," but that just isn't the case. The joint is plush, but without talent it loses out to their neighbors on 8 Mile, and without customers, they're going to have a real hard time getting and keeping talent.
