I've noticed quite a few people arrested recently for heroin in Wake Co, but I haven't seen it show up in the SW scene. That's a good thing, because I used to travel to a city that had a large % of SWs who were heroin users, and it ruined the game.
I'll throw a question out to the readers of this site: Have any of you seen any evidence of heroin showing up in the SW population?
I hope the answer is no, but I'll hang up to listen.
Trying to reconnect with an old friend named Phoenix wjo used to live by state, and the moved to Cary. Anyone seen her lately? I found her through a buddy, and had some wonderful dreams. But, now I am sleepless!
Can anyone help?

I know Phoenix also. The last time I saw her was last Oct and at that time she was in the prcess of moving to East Raleigh. Not sure if she did though. I chatted with her on I'm in May but it was very brief. Think she was having an issue getting the time and a baby sitter to be able to play.

I'm tempted to bring along a cellphone signal blocker to my next session. Has anyone ever done this before? I figure it would be helpful with providers who do not turn their phone after things get started, and answer texts and phone calls when they should be focused on you since you're paying for their time.
I know a lot of people carry them around, usually for the purpose of shutting up a loud talker when riding the bus, sitting at a restaurant, or attending a meeting.

The bad thing is that many of them eventually make the transition from just snorting it to eventually shooting it. Cleanliness wise, they were often no worse than the crack users, the real downside is the heroin nods. I tend to cut them off once they switch to IV drug use. I have been away for almost a year, but before I left there were a few SWs in Durham who were shooting cocaine. It's just my 2 cents but I have never bought into the hype that IV drug users are higher risk sexual partners than crack / cocaine users. Although there is the risk of needle sharing, the crack heads are likely to participate in high risk sexual activities like unprotected sex. Over the years I have met tons of SWs who have unprotected sex with dealers and their friends. I have also met several who have unprotected sex with Johns when they need the money bad enough to not say no to the request.
