"best poster" really realy ...realy realy? Both Super E and Cooky are huge contributors to this forum. This isnt grade school there arn't any bests. They have diffrent styles and both are appreciated by the members here. Why dont you guys stop this silly competition and simply enjoy their work........

You are the one who deserves to be thanked. Your photo shooting and composing and editing tips were very enlightening.

I have never claimed to be a great photographer. I have very rudimentary digital equipment. The three things I have going for me are a wealth of interesting SW subject matter, an eye for what might generally work and be appealing in a shot, and a motivation to capture my experiences and encounters on film to enhance and illustrate my reports about them.

When I had a 35 MM camera with regular film my flash was mounted and I was able to bounce the light to my subject from an angle. That meant I could bounce it off the ceiling indoors for a softer and more natural look with warmer tones. Thanks for some ideas on using other available light.

Thanks for the background clutter tip. That can distract from the photo. A white or preferably a black sheet tacked up as a backdrop would have made my photos better and/or prevented a great deal of editing.

Thanks for all your details on how you edited my photo of Aundrea. I am sure they will be useful to other SW photo enthusiasts as well.

Feel free to do more of the same. I appreciate your effort and photo expertise and I hope the membership does as well.

Props are always appreciated, but, indeed, MOST welcome from such a prolific pic poster as yourself.

Sometimes a change in routine can be beneficial. I usually monger during the day. In this case I was mongering in the evening.
