Did anyone else hear of shooting near HK last night? A buddy said he was down there going upstairs to the hotel when he heard gunshots. 2nd shooting in less than one month what is going on down there?

Tijuana is the narco gateway to the US. "what's going on?" Drugs. You're dabbling in prostitution. You should not be surprised that where working girls work, and drugs are sold, there are shootings.
Unless you deal drugs, your prob ok to go. Nothing in life is risk free, and as long as Tijuana is the preferred route into the US, this will continue. 2nd shooting near there in a month? Probably a very low count. Theres two shootings near there every few days.
Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone might be going to th tomorrow. I hope to be at the border around 10-12. Spend a couple hours there and then come back. Let me know if your in the area and want to come along.
I plan on being in the area next and plan heading down into Tijuana on the 20th (Thurs) for the first time.
I'll be solo and don't know anything about the area other then what I read from you fine folks.
Wondering if there is anyone will be down to join me to become familiar with the area down there?
It's hard to say I have heard that the gang activity is more in the southern part of Tijuana. The danger is not so much from the shootings it is from the potential rise in ratero mugging activities. There will probably be a rise in police shakedown's as well. I have noticed that the cops have been searching more people lately.

I was searching about the shooting and found this article. Your prob right always have walked across, jumped in cab to front door of HK and Adelitas and not venture around the block. But not so sure I'll venture anytime soon. Be safe fellow mongers.

They shot a quantos guy not long ago at back alley exit of Hong Kong. Known SW (freelancer) snuffedwith herBF after being a known snitch, bodies left in front of Levya so often they must have Amazon Prime delivery. Gang activity is thru the roof. Google "reported crime statistics Tijuana" andswitch to images. Highest density rings will be just west of Hong Kong.

Yes, the searches willbe steadily rising, as Christmas is now close. I pity anyone taking pedestrian bridge over Tijuana river in December afternoons / evenings. The policia will neverbe a part of the solution. Get caught with drugs! $20 later and you areon your way! No jail. No judge. Hell, you may even get to keep your drugs.

It's really outrageous that the Quanto's dealer are allowed to operated openly on the sidewalks. Many of them operate on Constitucion. Now mind you the police have a quasi sub station at the east end of the alley.
This is the only time I have been searched crossing the pedestrian bridge. Just make sure that you have a prescription for any medications. Always hold your wallet and cell phone and insist if the cops object.

Turns out it was not the usual suspects this time. I guess it was just a jealous girl that found her man in the club. I was there the next night and everything was biz as usual. I did receive some Intel that my favorite street girl was shot a few weeks back outside of azul. Really bum's me out that I will probably never see her again. She had the best personality I really enjoyed the time I spent with her, she did not deserve that. I only wish I could get some concrete info on her condition. I have always gone with you can get hit with a stray bullet anywhere but the zona seems to be getting excessive these days. Stay safe out there dudes.
The Tijuana cops need a community policing approach in the Zona. Spending a lot of time driving around with their red / blue lights does not doe enough. The Zona and Tijuana also needs better lighting as well.

I used to have an amiga who worked the alley. Someone could be shot right in front of the club and its busienss as usual 1 hour later. Youd have no idea a man stopped living in that spot 60 minutes earlier. Except, its not business as usual for the streetgirls. Business dies (pardon the pun) so often she would just go home and it would piss her off because it was always a busy night. Not on a dead Tuesday.
One of the most angriest Ive been was a policia search about 20 feet west of the HK alley entrance. The cop
Said “I am trying to catch drugs.” “Really?” As I look at the Cascades entrance wherea guy is yelling “Cuantos!” I said “you want me to help you?” At which point my amiga strongly suggested I not do something that would be misconstrued as snitching.
First time visitor to the area and was looking to make the trek solo. Anyone in the area planning to visit PM me if you want some company. I'll be available either night.
